Wachalarm Automat
APS 200

1. EINLEITUNG

Der Wachalarm Automat vom Typ APS 200 wurde entwickelt und hergestellt
gemäß den Anforderungen und Vorschriften des Germanischer Lloyd (GL)
und der See - Berufsgenossenschaft (SeeBG).
Baumustergeprüft vom GL unter 4036501 HH.

Auf der Brücke montiert erfordert der APS 200 in regelmäßigen Abständen
eine Quittierung der wachhabenden Brückenbesatzung.
Bleibt diese Quittierung trotz optischer und akustischer Signalgebung aus,
wird ein Relaisausgang aktiviert, der verbunden z.B. mit dem
Generalalarmsystem, die Mannschaft alarmiert.

2. EINSCHALTEN DES WACHALARM AUTOMATEN

Durch Betätigung des Tasters „Start“ wird das Gerät eingeschaltet.

Der Betriebszustand wird durch Dauerleuchten des Pilztasters angezeigt.

Wählen Sie nun die Zeit, nach deren Ablauf eine Quittierung erforderlich sein
soll mit dem „Wahlschalter“ (z.B. 3 Minuten) und entfernen Sie den Schüssel.

Die entsprechende gelbe Leuchtdiode zeigt die eingestellte Zeit an.

ACHTUNG !

Entfernen Sie unbedingt die Schlüssel der Schlüsselschalter „Stop“ und

„Wahlschalter“, um unbefugtes Ausschalten des Gerätes oder Veränderung
der Zeiteinstellung zu verhindern.

3. AUSSCHALTEN DES WACHALARM AUTOMATEN

Der Wachalarm Automat lässt sich nur mit dem Schlüsselschalter „Stop“
ausschalten.

4. NORMALE FUNKTION (rechtzeitige Quittierung)

Nach Ablauf der eingestellten Zeit beginnen die roten Pilztaster des Gerätes,
sowie eventuell angeschlossener externer Quittierungstaster zu blinken.

Wird dieses Blinken durch Betätigung eines der Pilztaster quittiert,

dann wechselt die Anzeige wieder in Dauerlicht und der eingestellte
Zeitablauf beginnt von vorne.
Diese Prozedur wiederholt sich bis das Gerät ausgeschaltet wird.

5. ALARMFUNKTION (nicht rechtzeitige Quittierung)

Nach Ablauf der eingestellten Zeit beginnen die roten Pilztaster des Gerätes,
sowie eventuell angeschlossener externer Quittierungstaster zu blinken.

Wird dieses Blinken nicht durch Betätigung eines der Pilztaster quittiert,
ertönt nach 15 Sekunden ein Signalton.

Nach weiteren 15 Sekunden wird ein potentialfreier Kontakt

für eine externe Hupe betätigt (Klemme 13-14-15).

Bleibt auch dieses Signal ohne Quittierung, dann wird nach

weiteren 30 Sekunden ein potentialfreier Kontakt für den Generalalarm
betätigt um die Mannschaft zu alarmieren (Klemme 16-17-18).

Die Alarmfunktion kann jederzeit durch Drücken eines der roten Pilztaster
unterbrochen werden. Das Gerät beginnt dann mit dem nächsten Zeitintervall.

 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Watch Alarm Unit
APS 200

1. INTRODUCTION

The Watch Alarm Unit type APS 200 was developed and manufactured
according to the regulations of German Lloyd (GL) and the
German Marine Association (SeeBG).
GL type approval certificate no. 4036501 HH.

Mounted on a vessel’s bridge the APS 200 requires acknowledgement

at regular intervals.
Does the officer on watch duty fail to give the acknowldege signal despite of
visual and audible calls a relay output, connected to the General Alarm
System is activated to alarm the crew.

2. ACTIVATING THE WATCH ALARM FUNCTION

Press the “Start” button to switch on the Watch Alarm Unit.

The steady lit mushroom button indicates operation.

Set a time interval for the required acknowledgement with the

“Selector Switch” (e.g. 3 minutes) and remove the key.

The yellow light LED indicates the time interval chosen.

IMPORTANT !

During operation always remove the keys from both switches “Stop”
and “Selector Switch” to avoid unauthorized deactivation or change of
time setting.

3. DEACTIVATING THE WATCH ALARM FUNCTION

The Watch Alarm Unit can only be deactivated by using the key switch “Stop”

4. NORMAL FUNCTION (acknowledgement in time)

When the selected time interval has elapsed the steady lit mushroom button of
the Watch Alarm Unit and possibly installed external “Reset” buttons start to
blink as a sign that an acknowledgement is required.

They return to steady light after pressing one of the mushroom buttons
“Reset” and the time interval will start again.
This produce is permanently repeated.

5. ALARM FUNCTION (no acknowledgement)

When the selected time interval has elapsed the steady lit mushroom button of
the Watch Alarm Unit and possibly installed external “Reset” buttons start to
blink as a sign that an acknowledgement is required by pressing “Reset”.

If this action is not taken within 15 seconds a built-in buzzer will sound to
attract attention.

After another 15 seconds without acknowledgement a potential free contact for

an external siren is activated (terminal pins 13-14-15).

If still nobody acknowledges this audible signal for further 30 seconds a

potential free contact, connected to the General Alarm System is activated to
alarm the crew (terminal pins 16-17-18).

This alarm function can always be interrupted by pressing one of the

mushroom buttons “Reset”
