*”Oh Mann ist der süß.” is the same as “Oh Mann ist er süß.” Nowadays, we often use the demonstrative pronouns “der”
and “die” instead of “er” and “sie” when referring back to people. This is quite common to do in German.
* etwas = ein bisschen: Ich spreche etwas Deutsch. = Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch.
PS: “etwas” can also mean “something”.
