1. Wichtige Informationen vor der Anwendung

Sie haben ein Hochwertiges RIESTER Stethoskop erworben, welches

entsprechend der Richtlinien 93/42 EWG hergestellt wurde und ständigen
Qualitätskontrollen unterliegt.
Die Bruststücke sind in CNC-Präzision gefertigt und garantieren daher ein
konstant hohes Qualitätsniveau.

• Die Kälteschutzringe garantieren nicht nur eine patientenfreundliche

Anwendung sondern auch eine verbesserte Akustik.
• Beim Stethoskop ri-rap® bewirkt die spiralförmige
Oberflächenstruktur eine optimale Oberflächenadaption.
• Das Riester-Stethoskop Programm bietet alle Möglichkeiten zur
perfekten Auskultation von Erwachsenen und Kindern bis hin zu
Neugeborenen.
• Alle Stethoskope werden mit Ersatzteilen geliefert.
• Weitere Hinweise finden Sie in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung.

Bitte beachten Sie dass die einwandfreie Funktion der Stethoskope nur dann
gewährleistet ist, wenn Sie ausschließlich Original-Zubehör von Riester ver-
wenden.

2. Niedrige/Hohe Frequenzen
Durch das Drehen des Bruststückes wird die Membranen-
(hohe Frequenzen) oder die Trichterseite
(niedrige Frequenzen) eingestellt.
Bei der Auskultation ist unbedingt auf eine guten
Oberflächenadaption
zu achten.
Bei der Blutdruckmessung kann das Bruststück mit der Membranenseite nach
unten teilweise unter die Manschette geschoben werden.
Am geschlossenen/geöffneten Trichterausgang können Sie sofort erkennen
welche Seite aktiv ist. Nach Aufsetzen der Ohrbügel können Sie durch leichtes
Streichen über die Membrane auch akustisch erkennen, ob die Membrane aktiv
ist.
Bei dem Modell ri-rap® kann die kleine Membranenseite wahlweise zu einem
offenen Trichter umgebaut werden. Die verschiedenen Trichtergrößen finden
Sie bei den beigelegten Ersatzteilen.

3. Einstellen/Anlegen der Ohrbügel

Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Ohrbügel auf den
anatomisch richtigen Winkel eingestellt sind,
d.h. die Ohrbügel sind so zu tragen,
dass sie leicht nach vorne gerichtet sind (siehe Abb. A).

Bei den Modellen duplex®, duplex® baby, duplex® neonatal, anestophon® und
ri-rap® kann der Winkel durch Drehen der Ohrbügel individuell eingestellt
werden. Die Ohroliven sitzen dann richtig, wenn sie vollkommen in Richtung
des äußeren Gehörgangs anliegen und störende Außengeräusche optimal
abschirmen. Die weichen Riester-Ohroliven sind hierfür besonders gut
geeignet.

Falls Ihnen die Ferderwirkung des Ohrbügels zu stark oder zu schwach ist
gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor.

Bei einer zu schwachen Federeinstellung nehmen Sie

die beiden Ohrbügel und drücken Sie sie zusammen,
wie in Abb. B angezeigt.

Sie die beiden Ohrbügel und spreizen Sie sie,
wie in Abb.C angezeigt.

4. Auswechseln von Membrane und Ohroliven
Zum wechseln der Membrane nehmen Sie den Kälteschutzring zwischen
Daumen und Zeigefinger und ziehen Sie ihn vom Bruststück ab.
Legen Sie den Kälteschutzring mit der flachen Seite nach unten auf eine flache
Unterlage und legen Sie die Membrane mit der berduckten Seite nach oben in
den Kälteschutzring ein. Nehmen Sie den Kälteschutzring mit der Membrane
und drücken Sie Ihn auf das Bruststück auf.

Zum Auswechseln der Ohroliven, drehen Sie diese gegen den Uhrzeigersinn
vom Ohrbügel ab. Drehen Sie die neuen Ohroliven im Uhrzeigersinn auf den
Ohrbügel auf.

5. Pflegehinweis
Das gesamte Stethoskop kann mit einem Tuch mit etwas Alkohol oder
Seifenlauge abgewischt werden.

Achtung:
Verwenden Sie kein Alkohol oder andere Lösungsmittel zur Reinigung der
bedruckten Membrane.
Tauchen Sie das Stethoskop nicht in Flüssigkeit und unterziehen Sie es keiner
Sterilisation.

6. Wartung
RIESTER-Stethoskope und deren Zubehör bedürfen keiner speziellen Wartung.
Sollte das Stethoskop aus irgendwelchen Gründen überprüft werden müssen,
schicken Sie es an uns oder einen autorisierten RIESTER Fachhändler in Ihrer
Nähe, den wir Ihnen auf Anfrage gerne benennen.

 Garantie
Dieses Stethoskop wurde unter stengster Qualitätsanforderungen produziert
und vor Verlassen unseres Werkes einer eingehenden Endkontrolle unterzo-
gen.

Wir freuen uns, dass wir deshalb in der Lage sind eine Garantie von
2 Jahren ab Kaufdatum
auf alle Mängel am Gerät, die nachweisbar auf Material- oder
Fabrikationsfehler zurückzuführen sind, gewähren zu können.
Ein Garantieanspruch entfällt bei: Unsachgmäßer Behandlung, Nichbeachten
des Inhalts der Gebrauchsanwiesung, Gebrauch von Ersatz- oder
Zubehörteilen anderer Hersteller, bei selbstständigen Änderungen oder
Reparaturen und bei normaler Abnutzung.
Allen mangelhaften Tiele am Stethoskop werden innerhalb der Garantiezeit
kostenlos ersetzt oder repariert. Dies gilt nicht für Verbrauchsteile wie z.B.
Ohroliven, Membranen oder Kälteschutzringe.
Ein Garanteianspruch kann nur dann gewährt werden, wenn dem Stethoskop
diese vom Händler ausgefüllte und gestempelte Garantiekarte beigefügt wird.

Bitte achten Sie darauf, dass Garantieansprüche innerhalb der Garantiezeit

geltend gemacht werden müssen.
Überprüfungen oder Reparaturen nach Ablauf der Garantiezeit nehmen wir
selbstverständlich gerne gegen Berechnung vor. Unverbindliche
Kostenvoranschläge können Sie ebenfalls gerne kostenlos bei uns einholen.

Im Fall einer Garantie oder Reparatur bitten wir Sie, das komplette Stethoskop

1. Important Information Before Use

You have purchased a high quality RIESTER stethoscope, which has been
manufactured according to the guidelines 93/42 EEC and is subject to continu-
ous quality control checks.
The chest-pieces are produced using CNC-precision which thereby guarantees
a constantly high level
of quality.
• The non-chill rings guarantee not only patient-friendly use but also
improved acoustics.
• The spiral-shaped surface structure of the ri-rap® stethoscope results
in optimum surface adaptation.
• The Riester stethoscope programme provides all possibilities for the
perfect auscultation of adults and children and even new-born children.
• All stethoscopes are supplied with replacement parts.
• Further information can be found in these Instructions for Use.

Please read through the Instructions for Use carefully before using and keep
them in a safe place.

2. Low/High Frequencies
By turning the chest-piece, the membrane
(high frequencies) or the bell side
(low frequencies) can be set.
When performing auscultation, it is essential to ensure
that the surface adaptation is good.
When measuring blood pressure, it is possible to push the chest-piece partly
under the cuff with the membrane side showing downwards.
It is possible to recognise immediately on the closed/opened bell outlet which
side is active. After putting on the binaural and lightly stroking across the mem-
brane, it is possible to tell acoustically whether the membrane is active.
With the ri-rap® model it is also possible to change the small membrane side
alternatively to an open bell. The different bell sizes are to be found with the
accompanying replacement parts.

 3. Adjustment/Putting on the Binaural
Please ensure that the binaural are adjusted to the
anatomically correct angle, i.e. the binaural are to be
worn such that they sit slightly in front (see Fig. A).

With the models duplex®, duplex® baby, duplex® neonatal, anestophon® and
ri-rap® the angle can be adjusted by turning the binaural individually.
The ear-tips sit correctly if they rest completely at the same angle as the exter-
nal auditory canal and disturbing external noises are optimally blocked out. The
soft Riester ear-tips are particularly well-suited for this reason.
In case the spring-action of the binaural is too strong or too weak, proceed as
follows.

4. Exchanging the Membranes und Ear-tips
In order to change the membranes, take the non-chill ring between thumb and
index finger and pull it off of the chest-piece.
Place the non-chill ring with the flat side facing downwards on an even surface
and place the membrane into the non-chill ring with the printed side facing
upwards. Take the non-chill ring with the membrane and push it onto the chest-
piece.

In order to exchange the ear-tips, twist them off the binaural in a counter-clock-
wise direction. Put on the new ear-tips by twisting them onto the binaural in a
clockwise direction.

5. Care
The entire stethoscope may be wiped off with a cloth and a little alcohol or
soap-suds.

Attention:
Do not use alcohol or other solvents for cleaning the printed membrane.
Do not submerge the stethoscope in liquids and do not sterilize.

6. Maintenance
RIESTER stethoscopes and their accessories do not require special mainte-
nance. Should the stethoscope require checking for any reason, send it to us or
an authorised RIESTER specialist dealer close to you, who we will be pleased
to specify upon request.

 Warranty
This stethoscope has been manufactured under the strictest quality standards
and has undergone a thorough final quality check before leaving our factory.

We are therefore pleased to be able to provide a warranty of

2 years from the date of purchase
on all defects to this instrument, which can verifiably shown to be due to materi-
al or manufacturing faults.
A warranty claim does not apply in the case of: improper handling, non-compli-
ance with the content of the Instructions for Use, use of replacement or acces-
sory parts of other manufacturers, autonomous changes or repairs and normal
wear and tear.
All defective parts on the stethoscope will be replaced or repaired free of
charge within the warranty period. This does not apply for non-durable parts
such as e.g. ear-tips, membranes or non-chill rings.
A warranty claim can only be granted if this Warranty Card has been completed
and stamped by the dealer and is enclosed with the stethoscope.

Please remember that all warranty claims have to be made during the warranty
period.
Of course, we will be pleased to carry out checks or repairs after expiry of the
warranty period at a charge. We will also be pleased to provide provisional cost
estimates free of charge.

2. Hautes et basses fréquences

Pour régler le côté de la membrane (hautes fréquences)
ou le côté du petit pavillon (basses fréquences),
faire tourner le pavillon.
Lors de l’auscultation, veiller impérativement
à avoir une bonne adaptation aux surfaces.
Lors de la prise de la tension artérielle, le pavillon doté du côté membrane peut
être partiellement glissé sous le brassard.
L’état fermé/ouvert de l’ouverture du pavillon permet de reconnaître immédiate-
ment le côté actif. Il existe aussi une méthode acoustique permettant de déter-

miner la membrane active : après avoir placé la lyre sur les oreilles, effleurer la
membrane.
Chez les modèles ri-rap®, il est possible de transformer le petit côté à mem-
brane en petit pavillon ouvert. Vous trouverez les différentes tailles de petits
pavillons dans les pièces de rechange fournies.

3. Réglage et mise en place de la lyre

Veuillez à ce l’angle de la lyre soit réglé de façon
à être adapté aux conditions anatomiques
lorsqu’elles sont portées les lyres doivent s’orienter
légèrement vers l’avant (voir illustration A).

L’angle de la lyre peut être réglé de façon individuelle pour les modèles
duplex®, duplex® baby, duplex® neonatal, anestophon® et ri-rap®. Les
embouts sont correctement mis en place lorsqu’ils sont positionnés dans la
direction du conduit auditif externe et qu’ils l’isolent de façon optimale des
bruits extérieurs. Les embouts souples Riester se prêtent particulièrement bien
à cette fonction.
Si la force du ressort de la lyre vous est trop forte ou trop faible, procédez
comme suit :

Si le réglage est trop faible, prenez les deux bras de la

lyre et poussez-les l’un vers l’autre, comme décrit dans
l’illustration B.

lyre et écartez-les l’un de l’autre, comme décrit dans
l’illustration B.

4. Remplacement de la membrane et des embouts
Pour remplacer la membrane, saisissez la bague anti-froid entre le pouce et
l’index et tirez-la pour la détacher du pavillon.
Posez la bague anti-froid face plate vers le bas sur une surface plane, puis
insérez la membrane dans la bague anti-froid, côté imprimé vers le haut.
Prenez l’ensemble formé par la bague anti-froid et la membrane, placez-le sur
le pavillon, puis appuyez dessus.

Pour remplacer les embouts, faites pivoter ceux-ci dans le sens inverse des
aiguilles d’une montre pour les ôter de la lyre. Vissez ensuite les nouveaux
embouts sur la lyre, dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.

 5. Instructions d’entretien
L’ensemble du stéthoscope peut être nettoyé à l’aide d’un chiffon ayant préal-
ablement été humidifié avec un peu d’alcool ou de lessive de savon.

Attention :
Ne pas utiliser d’alcool ou d’autre solvant pour nettoyer la membrane imprimée.
Ne plonger le stéthoscope dans aucun liquide et ne le soumettre à aucun
procédé de stérilisation.

6. Maintenance
Les stéthoscopes RIESTER et leurs accessoires ne nécessitent aucune main-
tenance particulière. Si, pour des raisons quelconques, le stéthoscope devait
faire l’objet d’une vérification, envoyez-le nous ou envoyez-le à un détaillant
spécialisé RIESTER agréé se trouvant dans votre proximité. C’est volontiers
que nous vous fournirons le nom du détaillant spécialisé Riester agréé le plus
proche : n’hésitez pas à nous demander.

Ce stéthoscope a été fabriqué dans le respect des exigences qualité les plus
strictes et avant de quitter notre usine, il a été soumis à un contrôle final détail-
lé.

C’est la raison pour laquelle nous sommes heureux d’être en mesure de vous
offrir une garantie de
2 ans à compter de la date d’achat
sur toutes les défectuosités de l’appareil pour lesquelles il est vérifiable qu’elles
sont dues à des fautes de matériel ou des défauts de fabrication.
Toute garantie prend fin en cas de : maniement non conforme, non observa-
tion des instructions d’utilisation, utilisation de pièces de rechange ou d’acces-
soires d’autres fabricants, de modifications ou réparations effectuées soi-même
et usure normale.
Durant la période de garantie, toutes les pièces défectueuses du stéthoscope
seront remplacées ou réparées gratuitement. Cela ne s’applique pas aux con-
sommables comme les embouts, les membranes ou les bague anti-froid.
Le droit à la garantie est accordé uniquement si cette carte de garantie dûment
remplie par le détaillant (qui y aura également apposé son cachet) est jointe à
stéthoscope.

Veuillez noter qu’il convient de faire valoir les droits découlant de la garantie au
cours la période de garantie.
Après l’expiration de la garantie, nous continuons à volontiers prendre en
charge des vérifications ou des réparations, contre facturation. N’hésitez pas
non plus à nous demander un devis gratuit !

2. Frecuencias bajas/altas
Girando la pieza de contacto se selecciona el lado
correspondiente a la membrana (altas frecuencias)
o a la campana (bajas frecuencias).
Durante la auscultación es imprescindible comprobar
que exista una buena adaptación superficial.
Para medir la tensión arterial, la pieza de contacto puede deslizarse parcial-
mente bajo el brazalete con el lado de la membrana hacia abajo.
Según que la salida de la campana esté cerrada o abierta puede reconocerse
inmediatamente cuál es el lado activo. Una vez aplicado el arco, también
puede comprobar acústicamente si la membrana está activa pasando ligera-
mente el dedo por encima de la misma.
En el modelo ri-rap®, el lado de membrana pequeño puede convertirse en una
campana abierta. Los accesorios adjuntos incluyen campanas de distintos
tamaños.

3. Ajuste/aplicación del arco
Ajuste el arco según un ángulo anatómicamente correcto,
dirigido ligeramente hacia delante (véase figura A).

En los modelos duplex®, duplex® baby, duplex® neonatal, anestophon® y ri-

rap®, el ángulo puede ajustarse individualmente girando las ramas del arco.
Las olivas están en la posición correcta si hacen contacto en la dirección exac-
ta del conducto auditivo externo y aíslan de forma óptima los ruidos exteriores.
Las olivas blandas de Riester son especialmente adecuadas para ello.
Si el arco queda demasiado apretado o demasiado flojo, proceda como sigue.

del arco y presiónelas una contra otra según
se muestra en la Fig. B.

4. Sustitución de las membranas y olivas
Para sustituir la membrana, tome el anillo de protección contra el frío entre el
pulgar y el índice y extráigalo de la pieza de contacto.
Coloque el anillo de protección contra el frío sobre una superficie plana, con el
lado plano hacia abajo, e introduzca la membrana en el anillo con el lado
impreso hacia arriba. Tome el anillo de protección contra el frío con la membra-
na y presiónelo contra la pieza de contacto.

Para sustituir las olivas, desenrósquelas del arco en el sentido contrario a las
agujas del reloj. Enrosque las olivas nuevas en el arco en el sentido de las
agujas del reloj.

5. Nota sobre los cuidados

Todo el fonendoscopio puede limpiarse con un paño humedecido con alcohol o
agua jabonosa.

Atención:
No utilice alcohol ni otros disolventes para limpiar la membrana impresa.
No sumerja el endoscopio en líquidos ni lo someta a esterilización.

 6. Mantenimiento
Los fonendoscopios RIESTER y sus accesorios no requieren un mantenimien-
to especial. Si el fonendoscopio tuviera que ser revisado por algún motivo,
envíenoslo a nosotros o a un establecimiento autorizado RIESTER cerca de
usted, que le indicaremos con mucho gusto.

 Garantía
Este fonendoscopio ha sido fabricado con las máximas exigencias de calidad,
y ha sido sometido a un exhaustivo control final antes de salir de la fábrica.

Esto nos permite ofrecerle una garantía de

2 años a partir de la fecha de compra
por todos los fallos del aparato debidos demostrablemente a fallos de material
o de fabricación.
Esta garantía queda sin efecto en caso de: trato inadecuado, incumplimiento
de las instrucciones, empleo de recambios o accesorios de otros fabricantes,
modificaciones o reparaciones realizadas por el usuario y desgaste normal
debido al uso.
Durante el plazo de vigencia de la garantía, todos los componentes defectuo-
sos del fonendoscopio serán sustituidos o reparados gratuitamente. No se
incluyen los componentes de desgaste como p.ej. olivas, membranas o anillos
de protección contra el frío.
La garantía sólo será válida si se adjunta al fonendoscopio esta tarjeta de
garantía rellenada y sellada por el comerciante.

Tenga en cuenta que las reclamaciones por garantía deben presentarse dentro
del plazo de vigencia de la misma.
Naturalmente, una vez transcurrido el plazo de la garantía realizaremos gusto-
samente cualquier comprobación o reparación mediante el correspondiente
pago. Puede solicitar un presupuesto gratuito sin ningún compromiso.

провести пальцем по мембране, что позволит понять, активна ли мембрана.

правильным углом, то есть, ушные наконечники должны быть слегка
направлены вперед (см. рис. А).

угол установки ушных наконечников может устанавливаться индивидуально
посредством поворачивания наушников. Ушные оливы располагаются правильно в том
случае, если они полностью прилегают по направлению к наружному слуховому проходу
и оптимально задерживают внешние шумы. Fягкие ушные оливы фирмы RIESTER
подходят для этого особенно хорошо.

4. 7амена мембран и ушных олив
Bля замены мембраны зажмите неохлаждаемое кольцо между большим и указательным
пальцами и снимите его с головки стетоскопа.
8оложите кольцо неохлаждаемое плоской стороной на ровную поверхность и вставьте
мембрану с надписью вверх в неохлаждаемое кольцо. (озьмите неохлаждаемое кольцо с
мембраной и вдавите его в головку стетоскопа.

Bля замены ушных олив их необходимо повернуть против часовой стрелки и снять с
наушника. Bля того, чтобы надеть новую ушную оливу на наушник, ее следует
поворачивать по часовой стрелке.

5. 9екомендации по уходу
(есь стетоскоп можно протирать тряпочкой, которая слегка смочена спиртом или
мыльным раствором.
