2. Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch   maßnahmen hinsichtlich der elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit. Bitte
Machen Sie sich vor der Inbetriebnahme und dem ersten Gebrauch
mit dem Multifunktionsthermometer vertraut. Lesen Sie hierzu auf-
merksam die nachfolgende Gebrauchsanleitung und die wichtigen
Sicherheitshinweise. Ein Nichtbeachten der Hinweise kann Personen-
oder Sachschäden verursachen. Benutzen Sie das Produkt nur wie in
dieser Gebrauchsanweisung beschrieben und für die angegebenen
Einsatzbereiche. Bewahren Sie diese Gebrauchsanleitung gut auf.
Händigen Sie alle Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Multifunktionsther-
mometers an Dritte ebenfalls mit aus.
Dieses Multifunktions-Thermometer ist ausschließlich zur Messung
der Stirn-, Ohr- und Objekttemperatur bestimmt. Sie können damit
schnell und einfach eine Körper- bzw. Objekttemperatur ermitteln.
Die Werte werden automatisch gespeichert. Das Multifunktions-Ther-
mometer ist für die Messung zu Hause geeignet.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät ausschließlich für den Zweck, für den es
entwickelt wurde und auf die in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung angege-
bene Art und Weise. Jeder unsachgemäße Gebrauch kann gefährlich
sein! Der Hersteller haftet nicht für Schäden, die durch unsachgemä-
ßen oder falschen Gebrauch verursacht wurden.
Das Gerät entspricht der EU-Richtlinie für Medizinprodukte 93/42/EEC,
dem Medizinproduktegesetz, der ASTM E 1965 - 98, der europäischen
Norm EN 12470-5: Medizinische Thermometer Teil 5: Anforderun-
gen an Infrarot-Ohrthermometer (mit Maximumvorrichtung) sowie der
europäischen Norm EN 60601-1-2 (Übereinstimmung mit CISPR 11,

IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-3) und unterliegt besonderen Vorsichts-
beachten Sie dabei, dass tragbare und mobile HF-Kommunikations-

3. Hinweise  
Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG
• Führen Sie bei Messungen im Ohr die Sensorspitze des Thermo-
meters vorsichtig ein.
• Die Anwendung des Thermometers an verschiedenen Personen
kann bei bestimmten akuten, infektiösen Erkrankungen aufgrund
einer möglichen Keimverschleppung trotz der durchzuführenden
Reinigung und Wischdesinfektion unzweckmäßig sein. Fragen Sie
im Einzelfall Ihren behandelnden Arzt.
• Halten Sie das Gerät von Kindern fern. Es besteht Verschluckungs-
gefahr! Kinder könnten das Verpackungsmaterial oder die Stirn-/
Abdeckkappe verschlucken.
• Kinder dürfen das Gerät nicht verwenden. Medizinprodukte sind
kein Spielzeug.
• Prüfen Sie vor jeder Anwendung, ob die Linse intakt ist. Sollte
diese beschädigt sein, wenden Sie sich an die Händler- oder Ser-
viceadresse.
• Das Gerät wurde für den praktischen Einsatz konstruiert, kann
aber nicht den Besuch beim Arzt ersetzen.
• Berühren Sie die Linse nicht mit dem Finger.
• Warten Sie nach sportlicher Aktivität, nach einem Bad oder wenn
Sie im Freien waren, ca. 30 Minuten bevor Sie eine Messung an
der Stirn vornehmen.
Hinweise zum Umgang mit Batterien
• Wenn Flüssigkeit aus einer Batteriezelle mit Haut oder Augen in
Kontakt kommt, die betroffene Stelle mit Wasser auswaschen und
ärztliche Hilfe aufsuchen.
• Verschluckungsgefahr! Kleinkinder könnten Batterien ver-
schlucken und daran ersticken. Daher Batterien für Kleinkinder
unerreichbar aufbewahren!
• Auf Polaritätskennzeichen Plus (+) und Minus (-) achten.
• Wenn eine Batterie ausgelaufen ist, Schutzhandschuhe anziehen
und das Batteriefach mit einem trockenen Tuch reinigen.
• Schützen Sie Batterien vor übermäßiger Wärme.
• Explosionsgefahr! Keine Batterien ins Feuer werfen.
• Batterien dürfen nicht geladen oder kurzgeschlossen werden.
• Bei längerer Nichtbenutzung des Geräts die Batterien aus dem
Batteriefach nehmen.

• Verwenden Sie nur denselben oder einen gleichwertigen Batte-
rietyp.
• Immer alle Batterien gleichzeitig auswechseln.
• Keine Akkus verwenden!
• Keine Batterien zerlegen, öffnen oder zerkleinern.
Allgemeine Hinweise
• Reparaturen dürfen nur von autorisierten Servicestellen vorgenom-
men werden. Ansonsten erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
• Dieses Thermometer ist ein empfindliches elektronisches Gerät.
Behandeln Sie es sorgfältig und setzen Sie es keinen mechani-
schen Stößen aus.
• Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung aus.
• Das Thermometer ist NICHT wasserdicht. Aus diesem Grund ist
direkter Kontakt mit Wasser oder anderen Flüssigkeiten zu ver-
meiden.
• Das SFT 79 Multifunktions-Thermometer ist nur für den in der Ge-
brauchsanweisung angegebenen Messort konzipiert.
• Die Messspitze nach jedem Gebrauch mit einem weichen, mit
Desinfektionsmittel angefeuchteten Tuch reinigen.
• Prüfen Sie vor jeder Reklamation zuerst die Batterien und wech-
seln Sie diese ggf. aus.
• Reparaturen dürfen nur von autorisierten Servicestellen vorgenom-
men werden. Ansonsten erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
• Wenn Sie noch Fragen haben, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Fach-
händler.
 Hinweise zu Elektromagnetischer Verträglichkeit 4. Gerätebeschreibung  
• Das Gerät ist für den Betrieb in allen Umgebungen geeignet, die
in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung aufgeführt sind, einschließlich der S-Taste
häuslichen Umgebung.
• Das Gerät kann in der Gegenwart von elektromagnetischen Stör- EIN-/AUS-/MESS-Taste
größen unter Umständen nur in eingeschränktem Maße nutzbar (Ohr- und Objektmessung)
sein. Infolgedessen können z.B. Fehlermeldungen oder ein Ausfall
des Displays/Gerätes auftreten.
• Die Verwendung dieses Gerätes unmittelbar neben anderen Ge- LED
räten oder mit anderen Geräten in gestapelter Form sollte ver-
mieden werden, da dies eine fehlerhafte Betriebsweise zur Folge M-Taste
haben könnte. Wenn eine Verwendung in der vorgeschriebenen
Art dennoch notwendig ist, sollten dieses Gerät und die anderen
Geräte beobachtet werden, um sich davon zu überzeugen, dass Display
sie ordnungsgemäß arbeiten.
• Die Verwendung von anderem Zubehör, als jenem, welches der Mess-Taste
Hersteller dieses Gerätes festgelegt oder bereitgestellt hat, kann (Stirnmessung)
erhöhte elektromagnetische Störaussendungen oder eine gemin-
derte elektromagnetische Störfestigkeit des Gerätes zur Folge
haben und zu einer fehlerhaften Betriebsweise führen. Stirn- / Abdeckkappe
• Eine Nichtbeachtung kann zu einer Minderung der Leistungsmerk-
male des Gerätes führen.

5. Displaybeschreibung   6. Inbetriebnahme  
Vor der ersten Anwendung des Multifunktionsthermometers müssen

Tastenton aktivieren / deaktivieren
Sie können am Gerät den Tastenton aktivieren / deaktivieren.
Wenn der Tastenton aktiviert ist, ertönt bei jedem Tastendruck und
nach jeder Messung ein Piepton.
• Um den Tastenton zu aktivieren, drücken Sie am eingeschaltenen
Gerät kurz die S-Taste.
• Auf dem Display erscheint ein Lautsprecher-Symbol . tur an welcher Körperstelle gemessen haben.
• Um den Tastenton wieder zu deaktivieren, drücken Sie erneut die
S-Taste.
• Das Lautsprecher-Symbol verschwindet wieder.

8. Was Sie vor dem Messen wissen
sollten  
Es gibt verschiedene Thermometer zur Messung an unterschiedli-
chen Körperstellen:
• Ohr-/Stirn-Thermometer (dieses Thermometer, zur Messung im
Ohr oder an der Stirnregion)
• Stab-Thermometer (zur rektalen [im After], axialen [unter der Ach-
sel] oder oralen Messung [im Mund])
Hinweis
Die Temperaturmessung liefert einen Messwert, der Auskunft über
die aktuelle Körpertemperatur eines Menschen gibt.
Sollten Sie bei der Interpretation der Ergebnisse unsicher sein oder
abnormale Werte auftreten, wenden Sie sich an Ihren behandelnden
Arzt. Dies gilt auch bei geringeren Temperaturveränderungen, wenn
weitere Krankheitssymptome wie z. B. Unruhe, starkes Schwitzen,
Hautrötung, hohe Pulsfrequenz, Kollapsneigung etc auftreten.
Mit unterschiedlichen Thermometern gemessene Temperaturen kön-
nen nicht miteinander verglichen werden.
Geben Sie deshalb Ihrem Arzt an (bzw. berücksichtigen Sie bei einer
Selbstdiagnose), mit welchem Thermometer Sie die Körpertempera-
Die Temperatur eines gesunden Menschen wird von verschiedenen
Faktoren beeinflusst: Dem individuellen, personenabhängigen Stoff-
wechsel, dem Alter (die Körpertemperatur ist bei Säuglingen und
Kleinkindern höher und sinkt mit zunehmendem Alter. Bei Kindern
treten höhere Temperaturschwankungen schneller und häufiger auf,
z. B. bedingt durch Wachstumsschübe), von der Kleidung, von der
Außentemperatur, von der Tageszeit (morgens ist die Körpertempe-
ratur niedriger und steigt im Laufe des Tages zum Abend hin an), von
der vorausgegangenen körperlichen und, mit geringerem Einfluss,
auch mentalen Aktivität.
Der Temperaturwert schwankt je nach Körperstelle, an der er ge-
messen wird. Die Abweichung kann bei Gesunden zwischen 0,2°C
(0,4°F) – 1°C (1,8°F) liegen.
So liegt der normale Temperaturbereich bei
• der Stirnmessung: 35,8°C (96,4°F) – 37,6°C (99,7°F), mit einem
Stirnthermometer,
• der Ohrmessung: 36,0°C (96,8°F) – 37,8°C (100°F), mit einem
Ohrthermometer,
• rektal gemessener Temperatur: 36,3°C (97,3°F) – 37,8°C (100°F),
mit einem konventionellen Thermometer,
• oral gemessener Temperatur: 36,0°C (96,8°F) – 37,4°C (99,3°F),
mit einem konventionellen Thermometer.
Um den Temperaturverlauf verfolgen zu können, messen Sie immer
an derselben Körperstelle. Wir empfehlen Ihnen, drei Messungen
vorzunehmen. Sollten sich die drei Messergebnisse unterscheiden,
nehmen Sie den höchsten Messwert.
9. Messen  
Hinweis
Prüfen Sie vor jeder Anwendung, ob die Linse beschädigt oder ver-
schmutzt ist. Falls diese beschädigt ist, wenden Sie sich an die Händ-
ler- oder Service-Adresse. Bei einer verschmutzten Linse, reinigen
Sie diese, wie im Kapitel „Reinigung / Aufbewahrung“ beschrieben.
Berücksichtigen Sie, dass sich das Multifunktions-Thermometer min-
destens 30 Minuten in dem Raum befinden muss, in dem die Mes-
sung vorgenommen wird.
Stellen Sie vor jeder Messung sicher, dass Sie sich im entsprechen-
den Modus befinden, mit dem Sie messen möchten

9.1 Messen der Körpertemperatur an der Stirn  
Hinweis
Beachten Sie, dass die Stirn/Schläfe frei von Schweiß und Kosmetika
sein muss und dass bei der Stirnmessung die Einnahme von gefäß-

verengenden Medikamenten und Hautirritationen das Messergebnis
verfälschen können.
1. Um das Multifunktions-Thermometer einzuschalten, drücken Sie
eine Sekunde lang die EIN-/AUS-/MESS-Taste .
2. Setzen Sie den Messkopf mit aufgesetzter Stirn-/Abdeckkappe
an der Schläfe an.
3. Halten Sie die MESS-Taste ge-
drückt und führen Sie das Multifunkti-
onsthermometer gleichmäßig über die
Stirn zur anderen Schläfe.
4. Lassen Sie dann die MESS-Taste los. Der ge-
messene Wert erscheint im Display und das Ende
der Messung wird mit einem kurzen Piepton sig-
nalisiert (wenn Tastenton aktiviert ist). Sobald das
Symbol der Messart aufhört zu blinken, ist die
nächste Messung möglich. Dies dauert ca. 5 Se-
kunden.
5. Liegt der gemessene Wert innerhalb des Normbereiches (< 38 °C /
100,4 °F), leuchtet die LED oberhalb der EIN-/AUS-/MESS-Taste
für 3 Sekunden grün. Liegt der gemessene Wert höher (≥ 38 °C
/ 100,4 °F = Fieber), leuchtet die LED rot.

6. Das Gerät schaltet sich nach 30 Sekunden automatisch ab oder
drücken Sie zum Ausschalten die EIN-/AUS-/MESS-Taste
für 5 Sekunden.
7. Reinigen Sie das Gerät nach jeder Anwendung wie im Kapitel
„Reinigung und Pflege“ angegeben.
9.2 Messen der Körpertemperatur im Ohr  
WARNUNG
• Es gibt Personen, die unterschiedliche Messwerte im linken und
rechten Ohr haben. Um Temperaturveränderungen zu erfassen,
messen Sie bei derselben Person immer im selben Ohr.
• Das integrierte Ohrthermometer darf von Kindern nur unter Auf-
sicht von Erwachsenen benutzt werden. In der Regel ist eine Mes-
sung ab einem Lebensalter von 6 Monaten möglich. Bei Kleinkin-
dern unter 6 Monaten ist der Gehörgang noch sehr eng, sodass
häufig die Temperatur nicht erfasst werden kann und vermehrt zu
niedrige Messergebnisse angezeigt werden.
• Die Messung darf nicht an einem Ohr durchgeführt werden mit
entzündlichen Erkrankungen (z. B. Eiterfluss, Sekretabgang), nach
möglichen Ohrverletzungen (z. B. Trommelfellschaden) oder in
der Heilungsphase nach operativen Eingriffen. In all diesen Fällen
sprechen Sie bitte mit Ihrem behandelnden Arzt.
• Die Anwendung des Multifunktions-Thermometers an verschiede-
nen Personen kann bei bestimmten akuten, infektiösen Erkrankun-
gen aufgrund einer möglichen Keimverschleppung trotz der durch-
 zuführenden Reinigung und Wischdesinfektion unzweckmäßig
sein. Sprechen Sie dazu im Einzelfall mit Ihrem behandelnden Arzt.
• Wenn Sie längere Zeit auf einem Ohr gelegen sind, ist die Tem-
peratur leicht erhöht. Warten Sie einige Zeit oder messen Sie im
anderen Ohr.
• Ohrenschmalz kann die Messung beeinflussen, reinigen Sie des-
halb ggf. das Ohr vor der Messung
1. Um das Multifunktionsthermometer einzuschalten, drücken Sie
eine Sekunde lang die EIN-/AUS-/MESS-Taste .
2. Nehmen Sie die Stirn- / Abdeckkappe
ab, indem Sie sie seitlich mit zwei Fin-
gern leicht zusammen drücken und die

Abdeckkappe dann nach vorne abzie-
hen.
3. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Sensorspitze und auch der Gehör-
gang sauber sind. Da der Gehörgang leicht gekrümmt ist, müssen
Sie vor dem Einführen der Sensorspitze das Ohr leicht nach hinten
oben ziehen, damit die Sensorspitze direkt auf das Trommelfell
ausgerichtet werden kann.
Positionierung bei Kleinkindern unter
einem Jahr
• Legen Sie das Kleinkind seitlich hin, so dass ein
Ohr nach oben zeigt.

This multi functional thermometer is intended solely for measuring
forehead temperature, ear temperature and object temperature. It
allows you to quickly and easily measure body temperature and
object temperature. Values are saved automatically. The multi
functional thermometer is suitable for domestic use.
Use the device for the purpose it was developed for only and in the
manner specified in these instructions for use. Any improper use may
be dangerous! The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting
from improper or incorrect use.

Safety notes
WARNING
• To take a measurement in your ear, insert the thermometer sensor
tip carefully into the ear.
• Despite cleaning and disinfecting the device as required, in the
event of certain acute infectious diseases it may be inappropriate
to use the thermometer on different people because of the possible
spread of germs. If you have any doubts, please consult your doctor.
• Keep the device away from children. Choking hazard! Children
may swallow the packaging material or the forehead/cover cap.
• Children must not be allowed to use the device. Medical devices
are not toys.
• Each time before using the device, check that the lens is intact. If it
is damaged, contact your retailer or the service address.
• The device has been designed for practical use, but is not a
substitute for a visit to the doctor.
• Do not touch the lens with your fingers.
• After physical activity, a bath or spending time outdoors, wait
approx. 30 minutes before you take a measurement on your
forehead.
Notes on handling batteries
• If your skin or eyes come into contact with battery fluid, wash out
the affected area with water and seek medical assistance.
• Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke
on batteries. Therefore, store batteries out of the reach of small
children.
• Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) polarity signs.
• If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the
battery compartment with a dry cloth.
• Protect batteries from excessive heat.
• Risk of explosion! Do not throw batteries into a fire.
• Do not charge or short-circuit the batteries.

• If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove
the batteries from the battery compartment.
• Use identical or equivalent battery types only.
• Always replace all batteries at the same time.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Do not disassemble, open or crush the batteries.

• This thermometer is a sensitive electronic device. Handle it with
care and do not subject it to any mechanical impacts.
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.
• The thermometer is NOT waterproof. For this reason, avoid direct
contact with water or other liquids.
• The SFT 79 multi functional thermometer is only designed for the
measuring area stated in the instructions for use.
• Each time after using the device, clean the measuring tip with a
soft cloth moistened with disinfectant.
• Before making a claim, first check the batteries and replace them
if necessary.
• Repairs must only be carried out by authorised service centres,
otherwise the warranty is invalidated.

Before using the multi functional thermometer for the first time, the

You can activate/deactivate the button tone on the device.
When the button tone is activated, a beep sounds every time a button

• To deactivate the button tone again, press the S button once more.

8. What you should know about taking
temperature measurements  
There are different thermometers for taking temperature
measurements in different parts of the body:
• Ear/forehead thermometer (this thermometer, for measuring in the
ear or on the forehead area)
• Rod thermometer (for rectal [in the back passage], axillary [under
the arm] or oral measurement [in the mouth])

Taking the temperature gives a measurement that provides
information about a person’s current body temperature.
If you are uncertain about interpreting the results or if the values are
abnormal, please consult your doctor. This also applies in the case
of slight temperature changes if there are other symptoms of illness
such as agitation, severe sweating, flushed skin, fast pulse rate,
tendency to collapse etc.
Temperatures measured with different thermometers cannot be
compared with one another.
You should therefore tell your doctor (or bear in mind if you are
diagnosing yourself) what thermometer you used to take your
temperature and in what part of the body.
The temperature of a healthy person is influenced by various
factors: individual metabolic rate, which depends on the person;
age (the body temperature of infants and small children is higher and

In order to track temperature changes, always take the measurements
in the same part of the body. We recommend that you take three

9.2 Measuring body temperature in the ear  
WARNING
• Some people produce different readings in their left and right
ear. In order to record temperature changes, always measure a
person's temperature in the same ear.
• The built-in ear thermometer may be used by children only under
adult supervision. Temperature measurements can generally
be taken on children over the age of 6 months. In infants under
6 months, the ear canal is still very narrow so the temperature
frequently cannot be recorded and the measurements displayed
are often too low.
• The measurement must not be taken in an ear affected by
inflammatory diseases (e.g. discharging pus or secretion), after
possible ear injuries (e.g. eardrum damage) or in the healing period
after operative procedures. In all of these cases, please consult
your doctor.
• Despite cleaning and disinfecting the device as required, in the
event of certain acute infectious diseases it may be inappropriate
to use the multi functional thermometer on different people

please consult your doctor.
• If you have been lying on one ear for some time, the temperature
will be slightly raised. Wait a little while or take the measurement
in the other ear.
• As ear wax can affect the measurement, you should clean the ear
if necessary before taking the measurement.

the LED above the ON/OFF/MEASURE button will light up
green for 3 seconds. If the measured value is higher (≥ 38°C /
100.4°F = fever), the LED will light up red.

can press the ON/OFF/MEASURE button for 5 seconds to

• Κατά τις μετρήσεις στο αυτί να εισάγετε προσεκτικά το άκρο του
αισθητήρα του θερμομέτρου.
• Η χρήση του θερμομέτρου σε διαφορετικά άτομα μπορεί να προ-
καλέσει μετάδοση μόλυνσης στην περίπτωση ορισμένων οξέων
μολυσματικών ασθενειών λόγω μεταφοράς μικροβίων, παρά τον
καθαρισμό και τη χρήση απολυμαντικού μέσου. Σε αυτή την περί-
πτωση συμβουλευτείτε τον γιατρό σας.
• Φυλάσσετε τη συσκευή μακριά από παιδιά. Υπάρχει κίνδυνος
ασφυξίας! Υπάρχει κίνδυνος τα παιδιά να καταπιούν το υλικό συ-
σκευασίας ή το κάλυμμα μετώπου.
• Η συσκευή δεν επιτρέπεται να χρησιμοποιείται από παιδιά. Τα
ιατροτεχνολογικά προϊόντα δεν είναι παιχνίδι.
• Πριν από κάθε χρήση να βεβαιώνεστε ότι ο φακός είναι άθικτος.

ξεπλύνετε με άφθονο νερό τα σημεία που επλήγησαν και ζητήστε
ιατρική συμβουλή.
• Κίνδυνος κατάποσης! Τα μικρά παιδιά μπορεί να καταπιούν
μπαταρίες και να πνιγούν. Γι' αυτό, φυλάσσετε τις μπαταρίες σε
μέρος μακριά από τα παιδιά!
• Προσέξτε τη σήμανση της πολικότητας συν (+) και πλην (-).
• Αν μια μπαταρία παρουσιάσει διαρροή, φορέστε προστατευτι-
κά γάντια και καθαρίστε τη θήκη της μπαταρίας με στεγνό πανί.
• Προστατεύετε τις μπαταρίες από υπερβολική θερμότητα.
• Κίνδυνος έκρηξης! Μην ρίχνετε τις μπαταρίες στη φωτιά.
• Οι μπαταρίες δεν επιτρέπεται να επαναφορτίζονται ή να βρα-
χυκυκλώνονται.
• Αν σκοπεύετε να μην χρησιμοποιήσετε τη συσκευή για μεγάλο
χρονικό διάστημα, αφαιρέστε τις μπαταρίες από τη θήκη της
μπαταρίας.
• Χρησιμοποιείτε μόνον τον ίδιο ή έναν ισοδύναμο τύπο μπαταρίας.
• Αλλάζετε όλες τις μπαταρίες ταυτόχρονα.
• Μη χρησιμοποιείτε επαναφορτιζόμενες μπαταρίες!
• Μην αποσυναρμολογείτε, ανοίγετε ή τεμαχίζετε τις μπαταρίες.

• Επισκευές πρέπει να πραγματοποιούνται μόνο από εξουσιοδο-

• Το θερμόμετρο πολλαπλών λειτουργιών SFT 79 είναι κατασκευ-
ασμένο μόνο για το σημείο μέτρησης που αναφέρεται στις οδη-
γίες χρήσης.
• Μετά από κάθε χρήση, καθαρίζετε το άκρο μέτρησης με ένα μα-
λακό πανί βρεγμένο με απολυμαντικό.
• Προτού προβείτε σε κάποια καταγγελία, ελέγξτε πρώτα τις μπα-
ταρίες και, αν χρειαστεί, αντικαταστήστε τις.
• Επισκευές πρέπει να πραγματοποιούνται μόνο από εξουσιοδο-
τημένα κέντρα Service. Σε διαφορετική περίπτωση, η εγγύηση
ακυρώνεται.
• Αν έχετε περαιτέρω απορίες, απευθυνθείτε στο εξειδικευμένο κα-
τάστημα της περιοχής σας.

6. Στην οθόνη αναβοσβήνει η ένδειξη μήνα. Επι-
λέξτε τον τρέχοντα μήνα με το πλήκτρο S. Επι-
βεβαιώστε με το πλήκτρο M.

λέξτε την τρέχουσα ημέρα με το πλήκτρο S. Επι-

10. Εάν δεν πατηθεί ενός 30 δευτερολέπτων κανένα πλήκτρο, το
μενού Βασικές ρυθμίσεις τερματίζεται αυτόματα.
11. Η συσκευή αποθηκεύει τις βασικές ρυθμίσεις και απενεργο-
ποιείται αυτόματα.
Ενεργοποίηση/απενεργοποίηση ήχου πλήκτρων
Μπορείτε να ενεργοποιήσετε/απενεργοποιήσετε τον ήχο πλήκτρων
στη συσκευή.
Όταν είναι ενεργοποιημένος ο ήχος πλήκτρων, ακούγεται ένας χαρα-
κτηριστικός σύντομος ήχος κάθε φορά που πατάτε κάποιο πλήκτρο
και έπειτα από κάθε μέτρηση.
• Για να ενεργοποιήσετε τον ήχο πλήκτρων, βεβαιωθείτε ότι η συ-
σκευή είναι ενεργοποιημένη και πατήστε σύντομα το πλήκτρο S.
• Στην οθόνη εμφανίζεται ένα σύμβολο μεγαφώνου .
• Για να απενεργοποιήσετε και πάλι τον ήχο πλήκτρων, πατήστε
εκ νέου το πλήκτρο S.
• Το σύμβολο μεγαφώνου εξαφανίζεται.
8. Τι πρέπει να γνωρίζετε πριν από τη
μέτρηση   υψηλότερη και μειώνεται όσο περνούν τα χρόνια. Οι διακυμάνσεις
Υπάρχουν διάφορα θερμόμετρα για μέτρηση σε διαφορετικά ση-
μεία του σώματος:
• Θερμόμετρο αυτιού/μετώπου (το θερμόμετρο για μέτρηση στο αυτί
ή στην περιοχή του μετώπου)
• Θερμόμετρο με στέλεχος (για μέτρηση ορθού [στον πρωκτό], αξο-
νική [κάτω από τη μασχάλη], ή στοματική μέτρηση [στο στόμα])
Υπόδειξη
Η μέτρηση της θερμοκρασίας παρέχει μια αριθμητική τιμή που δίνει
πληροφορίες σχετικά με την τρέχουσα θερμοκρασία του σώματος.

Εάν δεν είστε βέβαιοι για την ερμηνεία των αποτελεσμάτων ή αν
παρουσιάζονται ασυνήθιστες τιμές, θα πρέπει να συμβουλευτείτε το
γιατρό σας. Αυτό ισχύει ακόμα και όταν οι μεταβολές θερμοκρασίας
είναι μικρές και παρουσιάζονται επιπλέον συμπτώματα ασθένειας,
όπως, π.χ., ανησυχία, έντονη εφίδρωση, ερυθρότητα δέρματος, τα-
χυπαλμία, τάση για λιποθυμία κ.λπ.
Δεν μπορούν να συγκριθούν οι θερμοκρασίες που μετρήθηκαν με
διαφορετικά θερμόμετρα.
Γι' αυτό πρέπει να πληροφορήσετε τον γιατρό σας (ή να λάβετε υπό-
ψη κατά την αυτοδιάγνωση) με ποιο θερμόμετρο και σε ποιο σημείο
του σώματος μετρήσατε τη θερμοκρασία.
Η θερμοκρασία ενός υγιούς ατόμου επηρεάζεται από διάφορους
παράγοντες: Το ξεχωριστό για κάθε άτομο επίπεδο μεταβολισμού,
την ηλικία (η σωματική θερμοκρασία των βρεφών και νηπίων είναι
θερμοκρασίας στα παιδιά είναι εντονότερες και συχνότερες, π.χ.
λόγω ταχείας ανάπτυξης), την ενδυμασία, την εξωτερική θερμοκρα-
σία, την ώρα της ημέρας (το πρωί η σωματική θερμοκρασία είναι
χαμηλότερη και αυξάνεται κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας), όταν έχει
προηγηθεί σωματική δραστηριότητα και, σε μικρότερο βαθμό, επίσης
πνευματική δραστηριότητα.
Η τιμή της θερμοκρασίας παρουσιάζει αποκλίσεις ανάλογα με το ση-
μείο του σώματος στο οποίο γίνεται η μέτρηση. Η απόκλιση σε υγιείς
ανθρώπους μπορεί να κυμαίνεται μεταξύ 0,2°C (0,4°F) – 1°C (1,8°F).
Το εύρος της φυσιολογικής θερμοκρασίας είναι

9.1 Μέτρηση θερμοκρασίας του σώματος στο μέτωπο  
Για την παρακολούθηση του προφίλ της θερμοκρασίας, μπορείτε
να κάνετε τη μέτρηση πάντα στο ίδιο σημείο του σώματος. Συνι- Υπόδειξη

3. Κρατήστε πατημένο το πλευρικό πλή-
κτρο ΜΕΤΡΗΣΗΣ και οδηγήστε
ομοιόμορφα το θερμόμετρο πολλα-
πλών λειτουργιών πάνω από το μέτω-
πο προς τον άλλο κρόταφο.
4. Κατόπιν αυτού αφήστε ελεύθερο το πλήκτρο ΜΕ-
ΤΡΗΣΗΣ . Στην οθόνη εμφανίζεται η μετρηθεί-
σα τιμή και το τέλος της μέτρησης επισημαίνεται
με έναν σύντομο χαρακτηριστικό ήχο (εφόσον είναι
ενεργοποιημένος ο ήχος πλήκτρων). Μόλις πάψει
να αναβοσβήνει το σύμβολο του τύπου μέτρησης,
μπορεί να διεξαχθεί η επόμενη μέτρηση. Αυτό δι-
αρκεί περίπου 5 δευτερόλεπτα.
5. Εάν η προσδιορισμένη τιμή είναι εντός των φυσιολογικών ορίων
(< 38 °C /100,4 °F), ανάβει η λυχνία LED επάνω από το πλήκτρο
ΕΝΕΡΓΟΠΟΙΗΣΗΣ/ΑΠΕΝΕΡΓΟΠΟΙΗΣΗΣ/ΜΕΤΡΗΣΗΣ για
3 δευτερόλεπτα με πράσινο χρώμα. Εάν η προσδιορισμένη τιμή
είναι υψηλότερη (≥ 38 °C/100,4 °F = πυρετός), η λυχνία LED ανά-
βει με κόκκινο χρώμα.
6. Η συσκευή απενεργοποιείται αυτόματα έπειτα από 30 δευτερό-
λεπτα ή πατήστε για να απενεργοποιηθεί το πλήκτρο ΕΝΕΡΓΟ-
ΠΟΙΗΣΗΣ/ΑΠΕΝΕΡΓΟΠΟΙΗΣΗΣ/ΜΕΤΡΗΣΗΣ για 5 δευτε-
ρόλεπτα.

7. Καθαρίζετε τη συσκευή μετά από κάθε χρήση, όπως περιγράφεται
στο κεφάλαιο «Καθαρισμός και περιποίηση».
9.2 Μέτρηση θερμοκρασίας του σώματος στο αυτί  
ΠΡΟΕΙΔΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ
• Υπάρχουν άτομα με διαφορετικές μετρήσεις θερμοκρασίας στο
αριστερό και στο δεξί αυτί. Για να παρακολουθείτε τις μεταβολές
της θερμοκρασίας, η μέτρηση πρέπει πάντα να διεξάγεται σε ένα
άτομο στο ίδιο αυτί.
• Το ενσωματωμένο θερμόμετρο αυτιού μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί
σε παιδιά μόνον υπό την άμεση επίβλεψη ενηλίκων. Κατά κανόνα
η μέτρηση είναι δυνατή από την ηλικία των 6 μηνών. Σε βρέφη
κάτω των 6 μηνών, ο ακουστικός πόρος είναι ακόμα πολύ στε-
νός, με αποτέλεσμα η ανίχνευση της θερμοκρασίας του συχνά
να μην είναι δυνατή και να εμφανίζονται υπερβολικά μειωμένες
ενδείξεις μέτρησης.
• Δεν πρέπει να γίνεται μέτρηση σε αυτί με φλεγμονή (π.χ. εκροή
πύου, παραγωγή εκκρίσεων), μετά από πιθανή βλάβη του αυτιού
(π.χ. διάτρηση τυμπάνου) ή στη φάση επούλωσης μετά από εγχει-
ρητική επέμβαση. Σε όλες αυτές τις περιπτώσεις παρακαλείστε
να συμβουλεύεστε τον γιατρό σας.
• Η χρήση του θερμομέτρου πολλαπλών λειτουργιών σε διαφορετικά
άτομα μπορεί να προκαλέσει μετάδοση μόλυνσης στη περίπτωση
ορισμένων οξέων μολυσματικών ασθενειών λόγω μεταφοράς μι-
κροβίων, παρά τον καθαρισμό και τη χρήση απολυμαντικού μέσου.
Σε αυτή την περίπτωση συμβουλευτείτε τον γιατρό σας.
• Εάν έχετε ξαπλώσει πλάγια και πιέζετε το αυτί σας για πολύ ώρα,
η θερμοκρασία παρουσιάζεται ελαφρά αυξημένη. Περιμένετε λίγο
ή πραγματοποιήστε μέτρηση στο άλλο αυτί.
• Η κυψελίδα του αυτιού μπορεί να επηρεάσει τη μέτρηση, συνε-
πώς είναι απαραίτητο να καθαριστεί το αυτί πριν από τη μέτρηση

ζοντάς το ελαφρά πλευρικά με δύο δά-
κτυλα και κατόπιν αυτού τραβήξτε το

κάλυμμα προς τα εμπρός.
3. Βεβαιωθείτε ότι το άκρο του αισθητήρα
καθώς και ο ακουστικός πόρος είναι καθαρά. Επειδή ο ακουστικός
πόρος έχει ελαφρά καμπύλωση, πριν από την τοποθέτηση του
άκρου του αισθητήρα θα πρέπει να τραβήξετε το αυτί προς τα
πίσω και πάνω, ώστε το άκρο του αισθητήρα να ευθυγραμμιστεί
κατευθείαν με το τύμπανο.
Τοποθέτηση σε βρέφη ηλικίας κάτω του
ενός έτους
• Κρατήστε το βρέφος ξαπλωμένο στο πλάι,
ώστε το ένα αυτί του να είναι στραμμένο προς
τα πάνω.
• Τραβήξτε απαλά το αυτί του προς τα πίσω και
στη συνέχεια εισάγετε προσεκτικά το άκρο του αισθητήρα στο αυτί.

Τοποθέτηση σε παιδιά ηλικίας άνω του
ενός έτους
• Σταθείτε πίσω από το παιδί και ελαφρώς προς
το πλάι.
• Τραβήξτε απαλά το αυτί προς τα πίσω και πάνω
και στη συνέχεια εισάγετε προσεκτικά το άκρο
του αισθητήρα στο αυτί.
4. Εισάγετε προσεκτικά το άκρο του αισθητήρα και πατήστε το πλή-
κτρο ΕΝΕΡΓΟΠΟΙΗΣΗΣ/ΑΠΕΝΕΡΓΟΠΟΙΗΣΗΣ/ΜΕΤΡΗΣΗΣ
για 1 δευτερόλεπτο.
5. Στην οθόνη εμφανίζεται η μετρηθείσα τιμή και το
τέλος της μέτρησης επισημαίνεται με έναν σύντο-
μο χαρακτηριστικό ήχο (εφόσον είναι ενεργοποιη-
μένος ο ήχος πλήκτρων). Μόλις πάψει να αναβο-
σβήνει το σύμβολο του τύπου μέτρησης, μπορεί
να διεξαχθεί η επόμενη μέτρηση. Αυτό διαρκεί πε-
ρίπου 5 δευτερόλεπτα.
6. Εάν η μετρηθείσα τιμή είναι εντός των φυσιολογικών ορίων
(< 38 °C / 100,4 °F), ανάβει η λυχνία LED επάνω από το πλήκτρο
ΕΝΕΡΓΟΠΟΙΗΣΗΣ/ΑΠΕΝΕΡΓΟΠΟΙΗΣΗΣ/ΜΕΤΡΗΣΗΣ για
3 δευτερόλεπτα με πράσινο χρώμα. Εάν η μετρηθείσα τιμή είναι
υψηλότερη (≥ 38 °C/100,4 °F = πυρετός), η λυχνία LED ανάβει με
κόκκινο χρώμα.
7. Η συσκευή απενεργοποιείται αυτόματα έπειτα από 30 δευτερό-

Αποθήκευση
• Αποθηκεύετε πάντοτε το θερμόμετρο με τοποθετημένο το κά-
λυμμα μετώπου.
• Σε περίπτωση παρατεταμένης αποθήκευσης, αφαιρέστε τις μπα-
ταρίες.
• Η συσκευή δεν πρέπει να αποθηκεύεται ή να χρησιμοποιείται σε
πολύ υψηλές ή πολύ χαμηλές θερμοκρασίες ή υγρασία (βλ. τεχνι-
κά χαρακτηριστικά) στο ηλιακό φως, σε συνδυασμό με ηλεκτρικό
ρεύμα ή σε σκονισμένους χώρους. Διαφορετικά μπορεί να προ-
κύψουν ανακριβείς μετρήσεις.
Για λόγους προστασίας του περιβάλλοντος, η συσκευή στο τέλος
της διάρκειας ζωής της δεν επιτρέπεται να απορρίπτεται μαζί με
τα οικιακά απορρίμματα. Η απόρριψη μπορεί να
πραγματοποιηθεί μέσω κατάλληλων σημείων συλλογής
στη χώρα σας. Απορρίψτε τη συσκευή σύμφωνα με την
οδηγία της ΕΚ σχετικά με τα απόβλητα ειδών ηλεκτρικού
και ηλεκτρονικού εξοπλισμού – WEEE (Waste Electrical and

11. Απόρριψη  
Οι μπαταρίες που έχουν χρησιμοποιηθεί και έχουν εκφορτιστεί πλή-
ρως πρέπει να απορρίπτονται σε οικολογικούς κάδους με ειδική
σήμανση ή στα σημεία συγκέντρωσης ειδικών απορριμμάτων ή να
παραδίδονται σε εμπόρους ηλεκτρικών ειδών. Είστε υποχρεωμένοι
από τη νομοθεσία να φροντίσετε για τη διαχείριση των μπαταριών.
Αυτά τα σύμβολα βρίσκονται στις μπαταρίες που περιέχουν
βλαβερές ουσίες:

de um objeto com facilidade e rapidez. Os valores são memorizados
automaticamente. O termómetro multifuncional destina-se a medi-

• Ao realizar medições no ouvido, introduza a ponta com sensor do
termómetro sempre com cuidado.
• A utilização do termómetro em diversas pessoas pode não ser
conveniente no caso de doenças agudas e infeciosas devido ao
perigo de uma possível transmissão de germes, apesar da limpeza
e da desinfeção químico-mecânica. No caso específico, consulte
o seu médico assistente.
• Mantenha o aparelho longe de crianças. Existe o risco de engolir!
As crianças podem engolir o material da embalagem ou a tampa.
• Crianças não podem usar o dispositivo. Dispositivos médicos
não são brinquedos.
• Antes de cada utilização do termómetro, assegure-se de que a
lente está intacta. Se estiver danificada, contacte o revendedor ou
o serviço de assistência técnica através dos contactos indicados.
• O dispositivo foi concebido para a utilização na prática, mas nunca
pode substituir a consulta do médico.
• Não toque na lente com os dedos.
• A seguir à prática de uma atividade desportiva, após um banho ou

• Se ocorrer um contacto do líquido de uma pilha com a pele ou os
olhos, lave imediatamente as partes afetadas com água e con-
sulte, o mais rapidamente possível, um médico.
• Risco de engolir! As crianças pequenas podem ingerir as
pilhas acidentalmente e sufocar. Por isso, guarde as pilhas num
local fora do alcance de crianças pequenas!
• Atenção à polaridade correta: positivo (+) e negativo (-).
• No caso de uma pilha derramar o seu conteúdo, devem usar-se
luvas de proteção para limpar o compartimento das pilhas com
um pano seco.
• Proteja as pilhas de calor excessivo.
• Perigo de explosão! Não deite pilhas para o lume.
• As pilhas não podem ser carregadas nem curto-circuitadas.
• No caso de não usar o aparelho durante algum tempo, retire as
pilhas do respetivo compartimento.
• Use unicamente pilhas do mesmo tipo ou equiparável.
• As pilhas devem ser sempre todas substituídas ao mesmo tempo.
• Não utilize pilhas recarregáveis!
• Não desfaça, não abra nem triture as pilhas.

• Quaisquer reparações só podem ser efetuadas pelos serviços
de assistência autorizados. Caso contrário perderá o direito à
garantia.
• Este termómetro é um dispositivo eletrónico sensível. Trate-o com
cuidado e não o exponha a impactos mecânicos.
• Não exponha o dispositivo à luz solar direta.
• O termómetro NÃO É à prova de água. Por isso, é necessário evitar
o contacto direto com água e outros líquidos.
• O termómetro multifuncional SFT 79 foi concebido unicamente
para medições no ponto de medição especificado nas instru-
ções de uso.
• Após cada utilização, limpe a ponta de medição com um pano
macio humedecido com desinfetante.
• Antes de reclamar, verifique primeiro se as pilhas estão carregadas
e substitua-as, se necessário.
• Quaisquer reparações só podem ser efetuadas pelos serviços
de assistência autorizados. Caso contrário perderá o direito à

Indicações referentes à compatibilidade eletromagnética

Quando o som das teclas está ativo, sempre que se prime um dos
botões e após cada medição é emitido um som.
• Para ativar o som das teclas, e estando o aparelho ligado, prima
brevemente o botão S.
• No visor, é exibido o símbolo de um altifalante .
• Para voltar a desativar o som de tecla, prima de novo o botão S.
• O símbolo do altifalante desaparece.

8. O que precisa de saber antes de

Existem diversos termómetros para medir a temperatura em partes
do corpo diferentes:
• Termómetro de ouvido/testa (este termómetro destina-se a medir
a temperatura no ouvido ou na região da testa)
• Termómetro tipo barra (para medição rectal [no ânus], axilar [na
axila] ou oral [na boca]).
Nota
A medição da temperatura fornece um valor que informa sobre a
temperatura corporal atual de uma pessoa.
Se não tiver a certeza de ter interpretado os resultados corretamen-
te ou se os valores forem anormais, contacte o médico de família.
Isto também se aplica a pequenas alterações da temperatura em
conjunto com outros sintomas de doença, como p. ex., agitação,
transpiração intensa, vermelhidão na pele, pulsação acelerada, ten-
dência para desmaios, etc.
As temperaturas medidas com termómetros diferentes não podem
ser comparadas entre si.
Por isso, comunique ao seu médico ou, no caso de um autodiag-
nóstico, informe-o sobre o termómetro que utilizou e em que parte
do corpo mediu a temperatura.

A temperatura de uma pessoa saudável é influenciada por diver-
sos fatores: pelo metabolismo individual, dependente de cada pes-
e crianças pequenas e vai baixando à medida que se envelhece.
Em crianças, ocorrem maiores oscilações da temperatura mais rá-
pida e frequentemente, p. ex., devido a fases de crescimento), pelo
vestuário, pela temperatura exterior, pela hora do dia (de manhã, a
temperatura corporal é mais baixa e aumenta ao longo do dia, até à
noite), pela atividade física que se teve e, embora de forma menos
significativa, também pela atividade mental.
Dependendo da parte do corpo onde se realiza a medição, a tem-
peratura oscila. Em pessoas saudáveis, a oscilação pode situar-se
entre 0,2 °C (0,4 °F) – 1 °C (1,8 °F).
Assim sendo, a gama de temperaturas normal,
• para a medição na testa, é de 35,8 °C (96,4 °F) – 37,6 °C (99,7 °F),
com um termómetro de testa,
• para a medição no ouvido é de 36,0 °C (96,8 °F) – 37,8 °C (100 °F),
com um termómetro de ouvido,
• para a medição retal é de 36,3 °C (97,3 °F) – 37,8 °C (100 °F), com
um termómetro convencional,
• para a medição oral é de 36,0 °C (96,8 °F) – 37,4 °C (99,3 °F), com
um termómetro convencional.
Para poder observar o desenvolvimento da temperatura, realize a
medição sempre na mesma parte do corpo. Recomendamos que
efetue três medições. Se os resultados destas três medições diver-
girem uns dos outros, use o maior dos valores medidos.

ças sob vigilância de um adulto. Regra geral, é possível realizar
uma medição da temperatura a partir de uma idade de 6 meses.
No caso de bebés com menos de 6 meses, o canal auditivo ainda
é muito estreito, o que frequentemente impede a medição corre-
ta da temperatura e resulta muitas vezes em valores de medição
demasiado baixos.
• A medição não pode ser realizada num ouvido com qualquer tipo
de doença infeciosa (p. ex., pus, secreções), depois de possíveis
lesões no ouvido (p. ex., lesão no tímpano) ou durante a fase de
convalescença após intervenções cirúrgicas. Em qualquer um
destes casos, consulte o seu médico assistente.
• A utilização do termómetro multifuncional em diversas pessoas
pode não ser conveniente no caso de doenças agudas e infecio-
sas devido ao perigo de uma possível transmissão de germes,
apesar da limpeza e da desinfeção químico-mecânica. No caso
específico, consulte o seu médico assistente.
