Der gewindelose Polyamidring ist in der Bohrung etwas kleiner als das Kernma der Mutter. Dadurch wird die Reibung
gegenber dem Gewinde des Gegenstcks erhht, so dass
die Mutter gegen Losrtteln gesichert ist.
Achtung: nicht ber 100C einsetzen!
The bore of the threadless polyamide insert is a little smaller
than the nuts inner diameter. By the therefore increased
friction between nut and shaft the nut is secured against
unscrewing.
Attention: do not use above 100C!

Die Nutmutter Typ KMT wird durch drei Messingstifte, die mit
Gewindestiften mit Innensechskant auf die Welle gepresst
werden, gesichert. Das Profil des Hauptgewindes ist durch
die Stirnseiten der Messingstifte geschnitten, um einen engen
Formschluss zu erhalten. Der Winkel von 60 dient dazu, ggf.
einen Schlag zwischen der Planflche der Mutter und dem
Gewinde der Welle innerhalb der Toleranzgrenzen von Welle
und Mutter auszugleichen. Bis zu der Abmessung KMT 15
M 75x2 hat die Mutter einen zustzlichen Zweikant und kann
somit auch mit einem Maulschlssel angezogen werden.
The slotted round nut type KMT can be locked by three
brass inserts, which are pressed onto the axle by setscrews.
The main thread's pitch continues through the brass insert's
front to get a tight closure of the mould. The angle of 60
allows to adjust a possible axial run-out between the nut's
contact surface and the shaft's thread within the limits of the
tolerances. Up to the size of KMT 15 M 75x2 the nut has additional flats to be tightened by a spanner.

Das Prinzip
Sicherbare Nutmuttern Typ KMT/KMTA sind gleichzeitig Sicherungs- und Einstellmuttern. Die unter 60 zum
Hauptgewinde geneigten drei Messingstifte werden
mit Hilfe von Gewindestifte mit Innensechskant auf das
Wellengewinde gepresst. Da das Hauptgewinde auch
mit in die Messingstifte eingeschnitten ist, wird die Sicherungskraft formschlssig auf die Gewindeflanken
des Wellengewindes bertragen. Die so erzeugte Reibung zwischen den Gewindeflanken der Welle und den
Messingstiften sorgt fr die Verdrehsicherung der Mutter. Bereits bei geringen Anzugsmomenten der Stellschrauben wird eine hohe Sicherungsleistung erzeugt.
Die axialen Krfte bleiben an den Gewindeflanken und
gehen nicht auf die Sicherungsstifte ber. Es treten
keinerlei Verformungen auf, so dass die Mutter mehrfach eingesetzt werden kann, ohne an Sicherungswirkung zu verlieren. Durch die Schrgstellung der Sicherungselemente wird die KMT/KMTA gleichzeitig zu einer Einstellmutter. Innerhalb des Spiels zwischen Muttern- und Wellengewinde kann durch unterschiedliches
Anziehen der Gewindestifte mit Innensechskant ein
Ausgleich eines eventuellen Schlages zwischen Welle
und Auflageflche der Mutter geschaffen werden.
Wellennut entfllt
Da KMT Muttern formschlssig durch Messingstifte
gesichert werden, entfllt das Frsen und Entgraten
einer Nut in die Welle, ebenso wie das bisher notwendige Sicherungsblech. Da das Wellenende nicht mehr
durch eine Nut geschwcht wird, werden kleiner Wellendurchmesser mglich, was Platz und Kosten spart.
Werkstoff
KMT Muttern werden aus Sthlen hoher Festigkeit
hergestellt und in brnierter Ausfhrung geliefert. Gewinde (Toleranz 5H) und Planflche bleiben metallisch
blank. Die Sicherungselemente bestehen aus Normschrauben DIN 913 und Messingpfropfen.
Montage
KMT/KMTA Muttern verfgen ber auf den Umfang
verteilte Nuten bzw. Kreuzlcher und einen Zweikant
(bis KMT 15). Sie sind sowohl mit Hakenschlsseln
und Maulschlsseln oder hnlichen Werkzeugen montierbar. Ist die gewnschte Vorspannkraft erreicht, werden die Gewindestifte mit Innensechskant gleichmig
zunchst leicht angezogen. Danach werden die Stellschrauben gleichmig festgezogen. Soll ein Planschlag ausgeglichen werden, wird die am Maximum
des Schlages befindliche Stellschraube etwas gelst,
dann die beiden anderen gleichmig angezogen und
zuletzt die gelockerte Schraube wieder festgesetzt.
Ggf. diesen Vorgang wiederholen.
Demontage
Zum Abschrauben muss die Mutter gegebenenfalls
mit leichten Hammerschlgen (Gummihammer) gelockert werden, da die Messingstifte eingepasst sind
und eventuell auch nach dem Lsen der Gewindestifte
noch fest auf dem Wellengewinde aufsitzen. Sind die
Messingstifte einmal gelockert, ist die Mutter problemlos abschraubbar.
Losbrechmoment
Das Losbrechmoment wurde an frei auf eine Welle
der Toleranz 6G aufgeschraubten Muttern ohne Vorspannung gemessen. Da die Sicherungswirkung von
vielerlei Faktoren abhngt, sind die folgenden Werte
nur Richtwerte.

Overview
Im Laufe der vergangenen Jahre ist es durch den Wunsch,

einheitliche europische und internationale Normen zu kreieren, zu einer Vielzahl von parallel entwickelten Normen
gekommen, die sich in vielen Fllen ausschlielich durch
verschiedene, zum Teil aber hnliche Bezeichnungen unterscheiden. Ein Beispiel: Die deutsche Norm DIN 934 wurde
abgelst durch DIN EN 24032 folgende und DIN EN 28673
ff. Daneben existieren die internationalen Normen (DIN
EN) ISO 4032 ff und (DIN EN) ISO 8673 ff. Inhaltlich unterscheiden sich beide Gruppen nicht und der Bezug zwischen
ihnen ist durch die Nhe der Nummerierung zueinander
schnell ersichtlich. Weniger deutlich ist dann allerdings der
Zusammenhang zwischen den alten DIN-Normen 980, 982
und 985 und den Nachfolgern DIN EN ISO 10511 ff. und
7040/42.
Die Sechskantmutter gibt es also nicht. Die gngigste
Sechskantmutternnorm, obwohl seit Jahren zurckgezogen,
drfte aber, zumindest im europischen Raum, noch immer
die DIN 934 sein.
Es gibt heute sicherlich mehr als dreiig Normen, die sich
mit Sechskantmuttern beschftigen. Es gibt sie mit und ohne
Bund oder Ansatz, in den unterschiedlichsten Hhen, mit
verringerter, normaler oder vergrerter Schlsselweite. Es
wird differenziert zwischen Produktklassen in der Ausfhrung
und Festigkeitsklassen in der Materialauswahl. Es gibt Muttern mit und ohne Sicherungselemente, erstere wiederum in
den unterschiedlichsten Varianten, was die Art der Sicherung
angeht. Neben den allgemeinen Normen gibt es noch eine
Vielzahl von Standards fr bestimmte Anwendungen.
Es wrde diesen Katalog berfordern, alle Normen zu erwhnen, geschweige denn bildlich und tabellarisch darzustellen. Selbst die Aufzhlung in unserem Lieferprogramm
erhebt keinen Anspruch auf Vollstndigkeit.
A vast number of norms were developed during the past

years. This is due to the intention of creating integrative
European and international standards. In many cases, you
only detect the difference of these standard specifications
in the name and even then, sometimes the title is very
similar. For example: the German standard DIN 934 was replaced by DIN EN 24032 and following, and DIN 28673 and
following. The international designations are (DIN EN) ISO
4032 respective (DIN EN) ISO 8673. The contents of these
groups are similar and the reference is obvious. On the other
hand the context between the old DIN-Standards 980, 982
and 985 and the succeeding international standards are not
apparent.
So it is safe to say: The one and only hexagon nut does not
exist. The most common standard specification, although
withdrawn years ago, still seems to be DIN 934, at least in
most of the European countries.
Nowadays there are more than 30 documents concerning
hexagon nuts. They deal with hexagon nuts with or without
collar or shoulder, variable heights, with reduced, normal,
or extended width across flats. There are differing product
grades in execution and differing property classes in material
selection. Nuts exist with or without locking devices, whereby
the way of securing can vary in any conceivable manner.
Next to all these norms there are manifold derivatives designed for special purposes.
It would go beyond the scope of this brochure to name all
standards, let alone to publish them with datasheet and drawing. Even the listing of deliverable goods in the summary at
the end of this catalogue does not claim completeness.
But of course we will try to give an answer to all questions
you might have. We are interested to support you in your
choice to solve your constructive problem.

Tradition ist uns wichtig, deswegen blieb im Wandel der Zeit

Die Zulassung nach AD-WO/TRD 100 wurde bereits frher
erworben. DDS nutzt die Kraft traditioneller Werte in Verbindung mit innovativen Entwicklungen. Dazu gehren unter

Aufbau eines umfangreichen Lagers von Verbindungselementen, auch aus rostfreiem Edelstahl
Einfhrung der CNC-Technik seit den 70er Jahren sowie
deren konsequenter Ausbau zur vorherrschenden Fertigungsmethode in der mittlerweile vierten Maschinengeneration
frhzeitige Einfhrung eines dokumentierten Qualittssystems
Einfhrung der EDV-Technik, auch in der Fertigung und im
QS-System
Erteilung der Zulassung nach AD-W/TRD 100 in 1993
Zertizierung nach DIN EN ISO 9002 in 1994
