OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY: To familiarize the students with the concept of leadership
& management by establishing differences between the two concepts.
LEARNING OUTCOME: After successfully attempting this assignment, the students will be
able to recall the appropriate concept, and would be able to critically think, decide and implement
various concepts related to leadership & management.
Scenario:
Creative solutions enterprises is a recently initiated business start-up which offers customized IT
solutions to prospective clients. The development team only consists of 6 individual employees
who are creative and very receptive to client’s problems. They often reply to client’s business
problems with innovative solutions. In this newly developed entrepreneurial setting Ahmad is the
sole inspiring entrepreneur who is so thoughtful with motivating employees and attracting
customers that he neglects internal administrative matters. As a result, costs rose steeply beyond
income and revenue sources. This state of affairs resulted in total neglect of important matters like
funding the employee benefit plans and paying bills and taxes on time. The business is facing
losses despite having creative employee and inspirational entrepreneur Ahmad on the board.
Questions:
Q1. In your viewpoint what is the problem of Creative solutions enterprises that it is facing
losses? How do you think this problem could be addressed in future? What kind of employees
are absent in Creative solutions enterprises business team? [5= 2 Marks for analyzing the
