2010 untermauerte eine Bürgerbefragung
dieses Image: 66 Prozent aller Frankfurter
sind zufrieden bzw. sehr zufrieden mit ihrer
Stadt. Und sogar 84 Prozent gaben an,
gerne in Frankfurt zu leben – kaum jemand
wünscht sich allen Ernstes woanders hin.
Warum auch in die Ferne schweifen: In
Mainhattan hat das Business seinen festen
Platz neben fast dörflich anmutenden
Stadtteilen, der Puls des Bankenviertels be-
eindruckt und der nahe Taunus erdet nach
intensiven Tagen Downtown. Die Mischung
macht’s und hier stimmt sie zu 100 Prozent.
Wie sagte schon Goethe? „Hier bin ich
Mensch, hier darf ich’s sein“ – besser könnte
man das spezielle Flair der Mainmetropole
Frankfurt kaum in Worte fassen.

Europe. A public survey conducted in 2010
reinforced this image: 66 percent of all
Frankfurters are satisfied or very satisfied
with their city. And as many as 84 percent
said that they liked living in Frankfurt –
almost no-one had ever really considered
moving somewhere else.
Why ‘seek out far-off shores and distant
climes’? Business is firmly established in
Frankfurt. Right beside districts that feel al-
most like villages, the heart of the financial
district beats to an impressive rhythm and
the nearby Taunus brings you back down to
earth after stress-intensive days downtown.
It’s the variety that does it and here it’s spot
on - 100 percent.
