Ex-i works in accordance with

Funktion/Anwendung
Der ORM 130 Ex-i verfgt ber eine
eigensichere Elektronik. Der mechanische Aufbau des Melders und
die Dimensionierung der Elektronik
gewhrleisten, dass die Energie, welche im Fehlerfall durch Erwrmung,
statische Aufladung oder Funkenbildung wirksam werden kann, ein
explosionsfhiges Gas oder Dmpfe
der Zndgruppe IIC nicht entznden
kann.
Der ORM 130 Ex-i erkennt frhzeitig
Schwel-, Glimm- und offene Brnde
mit Rauchentwicklung. Er arbeitet
nach dem Streulichtprinzip. Lichtsender und -empfnger sind in der
Messkammer so angeordnet, dass
das Lichtbndel des Senders nicht
direkt auf den Empfnger treffen
kann. Erst das an Schwebeteilen
(Rauchaerosolen) gestreute Licht
(Tyndall-Effekt) gelangt zum Empfnger und wird in ein elektrisches Signal
umgesetzt.

LORM 130 Ex-i identifie prcocement
les feux couvants et dclars avec
dgagement de fume. Il travaille
selon le principe de la lumire diffuse.
Le rcepteur et lmetteur de lumire
sont disposs dans la chambre de
mesure de manire que le faisceau de
lumire de lmetteur puisse directement toucher le rcepteur. Seule la
lumire diffuse sur les particules en
suspension (arosols de fume) (effet
Tyndall) parvient au rcepteur et est
convertie en un signal lectrique.

Der ORM 130 Ex-i ist auf Primrleitungen fr Gruppenkennung
(Kollektivauswertung) einsetzbar.
ber ein MDI 82 lassen sich die ORM
130 Ex-i auch an Gruppenempfangseinheiten mit Ringleitung aufschalten.
Zur Einhaltung der Eigensicherheit
Ex-i muss pro Gruppe zwischen
dem MDI 82 und den Ex-i-Meldern
ein Gleichstrom-Trennwandler GTW
01 (fr 1 Gruppe) oder GTW 02 (fr
2 Gruppen) geschaltet sein. Der GTW
01/02 muss in jedem Fall auerhalb
der Ex-Zone angeordnet sein.

Raccordement/montage
LORM 130 Ex-i est utilisable sur des
lignes primaires pour lidentification
de groupes (valuations collectives).
Les ORM 130 Ex-i peuvent galement, par lintermdiaire dun MDI
82, tre branchs des units avec
identification individuelle des dtecteurs de la boucle.
Un transformateur-sparateur de courant continue GTW 01 (pour un groupe) ou GTW 02 (pour deux groupes)
doit tre branch par groupe entre
le MDI 82 et les dtecteurs Ex-i pour
le respect de la scurit intrinsque
Ex-i. Le GTW 01/02 doit, dans tous
les cas, tre disposs en dehors de la
zone Ex.

Function/Use
The ORM 130 Ex-i has intrinsically
safe electronics. The mechanical
construction of the detector and the
dimensioning of the electronics ensure that the energy which may become
active through temperature rise, static
charging or sparking in the event of a
fault cannot ignite explosive gases or
vapours of group IIC.
The optical smoke detector ORM 130
Ex-i detects smouldering and glowing
fires as well as flaming fires with
smoke development at an early stage.
It operates on the principle of light
scatter. Inside the sensing chamber
a light source and a light sensor are
arranged in such a way that light
normally does not fall on the sensor.
Only when smoke enters the chamber
light is scattered on the sensor
(Tyndall effect) and is transformed
into an electrical signal.
Connection/Fitting
The ORM 130 Ex-i is for use on primary lines for conventional systems.
The ORM 130 Ex-i can be connected
to zone receiver units with a loop
circuit by means of a loop coupling
module RKM 150.
In order to maintain the intrinsic safety Ex-i, a DC isolating converter
GTW 01 (for 1 zone) or GTW 02
(for 2 zones) must be connected per
zone between the MDI 82 and the
Ex-i detectors. At all events, the
GTW 01/02 must be located outside
of the hazardous area.
