Das Handbuch
1. Sicherheitshinweise
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Gefahrenquellen
Personal
Vorbereitung, Montage, Inbetriebnahme, Bedienung, Wartung, Instandhaltung

Dies erreichen Sie,
indem Sie Brücke W150, W151 und W152 auf 1-2 stellen.
Achtung: Alle Brücken müssen in derselben Position sein.

Achtung!

Mehrteilung (2 Bereiche) / Mehrbereich (2 Bereiche) / Mehrteilung (3 Bereiche)/
Mehrbereich (3 Bereiche)).

An

Alle Waagen, an
Bedienterminal) an.
8. Plombierung
Anschlussplatine VKE in Stellung wprot (= write protect) gestellt.

1: Supply voltage
2: Serial interface
3: Binary I/O
4: NAMUR inputs, analog input, binary inputs 3 and 4
As a rule, supply and serial interface are led through screwed connection A in a
joint cable.
The inputs/outputs are distributed onto screwed connections B and C, as may
be required.
Fitting D is provided for fieldbus connectors.
Fig. 19:
The figure below depicts the location of connectors for max. 8 measuring
channels (as a function of type) on connector board. The latter can be
accessed after removal of the easily accessible CPU and measuring circuit
boards (remove coupling board, if present). Separate flat cable connectors of
connector board from measuring circuit board. Remove separator plate, and
the connector board is exposed.
When connecting load cell cable, ensure good contact of cable screen using
the clamps supplied.
RS-232 interface: HD 9-pole/pin intereface to the PC via the socket cable (turned).
Remove sealing cap on narrow side of unit and replace by the M12 flanged
socket outlet supplied. This outlet is water-proof to IP65. For connection to
user’s bus cabling, use standard M12 cable.
Mating plug M12 and adapter cable for most fieldbus systems on the market
can be supplied as options (see Chapter 8).
The p.c. board is equipped with two connectors for bus connection.
In DISOBOX, use connector XP3.
Remember that the first and the last physical unit on PROFIBUS-DP must be
equipped with a bus terminator. To do so, set jumpers W150, W151 and W152
to position1-2.

You can find more details on Ethernet (particularly on setting up the data
transmitted) in the BV-H 2316 Data Communication Manual.
NOTE:
Access to the DISOPLAN functions is administered via license levels. They
range from the standard operator to the instrument developer. This is the
reason why some of the functions shown in this manual may not be visible or
accessible in other installations.
The same mechanism is also available with DISOMAT Opus. You can activate
setting-up mode at any time in the 5C Start DISOPLAN menu item.
You can also configure all instruments via Ethernet except DISOMAT B plus
(the VET 020 optional card has to be installed on DISOBOX) which provides
access to the instrument at any time. The configuration of the used PC must
allow access to the instrument network address.
Then select the interface used via the Settings/ Interface menu item:
The interface parameters are fixed and DISOPLAN sets them correctly.
You can also configure a TCP interface for the appropriate instruments (see
above). Select the Fixed Address option. The IP address has to be set locally
on the instrument or the instrument default address has to be used (refer to the
particular System Manual).
If you select ‘Serial Connection’, you can assign bus addresses (MODBUS) for
interfaced instruments with the serial number on the outside of the instrument.
Then the Scan Bus button is used to search the interface for connected
instruments The following figure shows an example where a DISOBOX was
found on the bus.
Other detected instrument models are shown in the window with other symbols.
4.2. DISOBOX
The following shows how to parameter a DISOBOX:
You can reach all of the important functions in DISOBOX via symbols directly
from this window. They are designed in the following order for better
accessibility.
You can find details on all parameters in the DISOBOX BV-H 2139 Service
Manual.
This item leads you through calibration parameters. This takes in all scales that
channels were assigned to in the above item.
4.3. Communication
You can define the bus communication model used in this menu item.
You can find the parameter description in the BV-H 2316 Data Communication
Manual
The lower part of the window shows the individual weights of the channels
along with the scale weight and status. You can clear any event-messages by
pressing the Acknowledge Event button.
The buttons can be used to activate the scales functions Set Tare / Cancel
Tare / Manual Tare / Zero. They can also be used to acknowledge events and
to switch the display to high-definition operation (X10).
4.6.3. Parametrization
– Display filter: the individual filter period for every scale. This has an impact
on any display or values transmitted to other computers
– No-motion time: see above under calibration parameters
– Set to zero: zero position scale properties:
– Only when command is given
– Zero tracking: if the weight changes less than 0.5 d/second based on
zero, the scale is constantly set to zero automatically (only within the
zero setting range)
– Auto Zero: as above. Additional: it is always automatically set to zero
with negative weights (only within the zero setting range).
– Switch delay: range change-over is delayed by this value with
multiple-range and multiple-division scales which keeps it from switching
over due to brief weight peaks.
– Filter period dW/dt: filter period for the Material Flow value dW/dt given in
seconds.
Operating mode:
The mode is defined for every scale in the Operating Mode menu item (normal /
multi-interval (2 ranges) / multi-range (2 ranges) / multi-interval (3 ranges)/
multi-range (3 ranges)).
The maximum reading and scale interval are defined for the other range(s) for
scales with more than one range. The data under ‘Legal-for-trade Parameters’
always describe the largest measuring range.
4.6.4. Calibration
Corner balance:
Corner balance is carried out for the scale in the F-Calibration Deviation menu
item.
Calibration of span:
This aligns the reading to the weight on the scale. The calibration weight should
be as large as possible for proper weighing, however at least 20% of the
maxiumum scale load.
Key in the weight on the scale and start calibration with OK. All channels on the
scale are calibrated simultaneously and results are filed in the channel data.
Linearization:
Here is an example
You have a scale with 600 kg weighing range and 0.2 kg increment value (i.e.
with 3,000 increments).
The scale shows a reading of 300.28 with linearization at the interpolation point
of 50% (equalling 300 kg). To linearize the scale, you have to
calculate and key in the correction value in scale intervals (not in kg) according
to the formula above:
Impedance control:
In this point, the impedance (i.e., resistance) of the supply circuit of the
measuring channel connected is calculated and compared with the reading at
last dead weight calibration. Conclusions can be drawn on load cell defects if
there is a malfunction in the scale.
You can set a filter period for all channels under Parameters / Channels /
Switching Filter. This period also has an impact on the switching characteristic
of the comparator (reading range: 0.06 - 4.7 seconds)
The secondary display follows the Active Scale. It functions easiest in systems
with just one scale.
Interfaces:
– Keying in interface parameters for interface 1 ( = XSS = interface on the
mainboard ) and interface 2 ( = XFB = VSS 021 on the extension plug).
The parameters for XS1 do not have an impact on DISOPLAN operation on this
interface because it uses fixed settings.
4.9. Maintenance
The items in the Maintenance menu are only available if DISOBOX is coupled
serially. These are:
– Data saving: reading out the program and data from DISOBOX into a
back-up file
– Data restoration: restoring data from the back-up file into the scale
– Flash loading: loading a new software version. Loading processes are
registered in the logfile of the scale.
Information / Diagnoses
Various types of system information such as
– The software version
– The serial number of the scale
– The hardware design
– The date and time
– The temperature
– The level of the calibration counter
– The list of faults
You can call up the date and time for the last parameter change in the
Parameter / Channels / Time Marks menu item for all channels (only reading
parameters).
5 Fieldbus Coupling
Transmitting Fixed Formats (DISOBOX)
The Master -> DISOBOX message can transmit binary outputs to function
blocks, commands and up to 4 preset IDs. The position in message normally
reserved for the 1st request ID can be replaced by the fixed format to be
transmitted from DISOBOX to Master.
Save fixed format 1 (8 rounded values), all other fixed formats transmit binary
inputs of function blocks and highest available event/error number followed by
the so-called Mirror ID indicating the fixed format currently active in output, and
the fixed format data.
Unless fixed format 1 is used, the Mirror ID can be used to detect when the
new fixed format is available in the response. After selection/deselecton of fixed
format 1 and application of the new fix ID, the new format is output after
typically 300 ms.
Master requests fixed format 1. All other presettings are binary 0, i.e. they are
ignored save the function block outputs.
Channel Status (“Status 1-2", ”Status 3-4", “Status 5-6", ”Status 7-8")
The channel statusses are bit-coded and comprise 1 byte each. The statusses
of two channels are comprised to form a word and are divided as follows:
Status 1-2
IMPORTANT
Valid channel weights are formed only if relevant channel status has 0 value,
i.e. all above described bits must be set to 0 !
ATTENTION
Most bits in the group/scale statusses are scale-specific and useful only if
DISOBOX is configured as scale, i.e. all parameters must have been entered
using menu item 441:SCALE.
DISOBOX can also operate as weight value transducer on group level. To that
end, only the channel parameters (menu item:445 Channel) must be acquired.
Then only bit 5 (Weight invalid) and bit 8 (Measurement being initialized) are
relevant. The residual bits refer to non-configured scale settings and must/can
be ignored.
In request message:
Bits 0...3 set DISOBOX outputs 1-4
In response message:
6 Function variants:
What are know as Function variants can be activated for simple control jobs in
DISOBOX . They give a defined function to the DISOBOX inputs and outputs
that are adapted to typical scale jobs.
The function variants are activated via DISOPLAN (the Configuration menu
item on the scale screen) and then the variants parameters are edited clearly.
This option allows direct access to the DISOBOX inputs and outputs via the
interfaced fieldbus. The details:
– The 4 DISOBOX inputs can be read directly to the PLS-DOut 1-4 fieldbus
signals.
– The 4 DISOBOX outputs can be set directly via the PLS-Din 1-4 fieldbus
signals.
– You can activate the 3 DISOBOX scales via the PLS-Din 5-7 signals (0 to 1
change at PLS-DIn 5 activates scale 1, ... )
– You can use PLS Dout 5-7 to read back the input scale (PLS Dout 5 = scale
1)
– Beyond this, you can also use other PLS signals to operate the I/O
extension modules ICP.
This function variant activates switching levels for scales or also just for
measuring channels. The typical application is tank fill level monitoring. The
details:
– 4 fast comparators are assigned directly to the DISOBOX outputs (see
below for parameterization). The position of the outputs is also directly
issued to the PLS-Dout 5-8 fieldbus signals.
– The 8 channel comparators are issued to PLS Dout 9-15.
– The 4 DISOBOX inputs can be read directly on the PLS-DOut1-4 fieldbus
signals.
– Beyond this, you can also use other PLS signals to operate the I/O
extension modules ICP.
The parameter window below opens when you activate the fillcheck variant:
The comparators are directly set under output 1-4. The on- or off-thresholds are
used to provide switching characteristics with hysteresis (the contact goes to
HIGH if it is above the on-threshold and it goes to LOW if it is below the
off-threshold). You can also select the scale that the (gross) weight of the
comparator works on.
The channel comparators work directly on the appropriate input channel and
only on- and off-thresholds can be specified for them.
NOTE: Please note that signals with an impact on safety are on HIGH in the
operating range and that they should drop with an alarm. A power failure
should indicate the alarm state.
You can find details on the filling scale function in the BV-H 2139 Manual,
DISOMAT B plus / DISOBOX Service Manual.
The following parameter window opens when you activate the filling scale
variant. Only the parameters in the Fill Feed block are important for the
configuration.
– Maximum fill weight = the maximum fill weight from which it is supposed to
be discharged after feeding.
– Discharge weight = discharge to this reading
– Optimization = you can select with/without optimization.
– No-motion time = the maximum time until the scale is supposed to have
identified no motion.
– Delay time = the time until the tare memory is cleared. Waiting time 0 =
without clearing
– Discharge time = this is the minimum time for setting the discharge contact.
– Taring = You can select with/without taring at feeding start. Without taring:
gross-related feeding
– The scale used = what scale feeding is done on. Scale 1, scale 2 and scale
3.
– Settling time = The time from reaching the primary contact until the
standstill prompt and tolerance control are made.
DISOPLAN also keys in the parameters for feeding the materials (as many as
10 can be saved) in the Display/Parameter/Function Blocks/Material Data
menu item.
The material number, setpoint and start signal are transmitted via fieldbus to
start feeding.
Please refer to the the BV-H 2139 Manual, DISOMAT B plus / DISOBOX
Service Manual for details on the function of the discharge scale
The following parameter window opens when you activate the discharge scale
option. Only the parameters in the ‘Discharge Weighing’ block are important to
configuration.
DISOPLAN also keys in the parameters for feeding the materials (at least 10
can be saved) in the Display/Parameter/Function Blocks/Material Data menu
item.
The material number, setpoint and start signal are transmitted via fieldbus to
start feeding.
6.5 Disoplan
does not install any function, i.e. the I/O of the DISOBOX has no effect. This
option is also not parameterized.
7 Diagnosis functions
DISOBOX has a range of diagnosis functions that allow load cells and load
distribution monitoring on the scale in operation. These diagnosis functions are
The symmetry groups are monitored once a minute if the upper-level scale is in
no-motion state.
If a channel falls out of the defined symmetry condition in a symmetry group, it
is set to invalid. All scales that this channel is on show invalid weight readings.
Example 1
A scale with zero position monitoring, but without symmetry monitoring (such
as a platform scale).
Example 2:
This figure shows the example of a 4-cell scale whose load points have to be
identical within 10%. Zero-point monitoring is deactivated (such as the bin
weigher).
Example 3:
This figure shows the example of a 6-cell scale whose load points have to be
identical in pairs within 20%. Zero-point monitoring is also activated (such as a
road weigh bridge).
Example 4:
This figure shows the example of a 4-cell scale whose load points have to be
diagonally identical in pairs within 15%. Zero-point monitoring is also activated
(such as a crane scale).
The defective channel can be replaced by the mean of all other channels in the
same symmetry group. Thereto, start the Control Terminal function in
DISOPLAN. The 5829 Channel Simulation menu item gives you the option of
synthesizing the invalid channel. This synthesized channel is assigned the
mean of the valid channels of the symmetry group. All scales that the channel
is on show NON-DIMENSIONAL weight readings and the “ply” scale identifier
(in the control terminal).
8 Sealing
