TEIL 1: Ein Bild/Ein Foto beschreiben (ca.

2-3 Minuten)
1a: Bildbeschreibung (Was sehen Sie auf diesem Bild?/ Welche Situation zeigt es?)
Describe the Picture: (at least 3 - 4 lines/sentences)
 Make a Guess or Assumption — define the persons involved and what do you
think, what they are doing in the picture.
 It is not necessary to describe everything (ex. What the persons involved are
wearing, color, etc.). If a person looks like a Nurse (according to your
perception), then mention him/her as a Nurse.
 Mention the Health Care Personnel first before the patient because the
patient will be the focal point.
Beispiel: Auf diesem Bild sehe ich zwei Krankenschwestern und eine
Patientin, die vermutlich angespannt auf dem Bett liegt.
 Since the patient is already the focal point, now describe the Personnel
one by one (ex. On what they are doing, etc.)
Beispiel: Links neben der Patientin steht die Krankenschwester, die eine
intravenöse Flüssigkeit der Patientin startet und sie wird von der
Krankenschwester auf der anderen Seite unterstützt.
 Now, describe where the persons are:
Beispiel: Der Raum ist reichlich mit Technik ausgestaltet deswegen würde
ich vermuten, dass sie sich in einer Notaufnahme oder Intensivstation
befinden.

This is all about your personal experiences related to the given topic.

Ich habe viel Erfahrung zu diesem Thema, weil ich fast 3 Jahren als
Krankenpfleger auf der Intensivstation gearbeitet habe, wo Patienten mit
verschiedenen Krankeiten aufgenommen wurden.

 Ich habe keine Erfahrung zu diesem Thema, aber ich habe Vorstellung davon.
- Avoid making your Story very long since you only have 2-3 minutes.
• After you have finished, the examiner names the actual topic or tells you what the
Situation is and asks some questions about it. Then you are finished with the picture
description. It all takes 2-3 Minutes, so try to describe everything quickly and say
much as possible.

TEIL 2: Einen Kuravortrag halten (ca. 2-3 Minuten)

2a: Kursvortraq
 You can prepare the short presentation during the preparation time
(mostly 20 minutes). You will receive a task sheet with 2 topics to choose
from. Select one of the two topics. For each topic there are key points and
3 photos to help you
 If you have a short topic, make sure that it has an appropriate structure,
e.g. Name the topic first.
 Then say briefly how your presentation is structured. Try to cover at least
two of the key points or aspects presented in the photos.
 Then talk about the points mentioned above.
 As the last part of your presentation, stating your own personal opinion is
a good conclusion.

Divide the presentation into 3 parts: Introduction, Content and Conclusion.

 Introduction: You may use the 3 photos to aid your introduction.
 Content: The actual content of the presentation will be about the words
inside the parenthesis. (Some cases, there are no parenthesis given. If
that is the case, your presentation will mainly be about the given topic).
You may also state the possible problems and solutions. It is possible to
share your personal experiences related to the topic if you cannot think of
anything to say.
 Conclusion: You can use sayings here or sentences/phrases related to the
topic (Sample Redemittel: Zum Schluss.../ Abschliepend...) or any
Redemittel to conclude your presentation.
 Teil 3: Diskussion (ca. 4 Minuten)
 In this part, you will also receive the task sheet during the preparation
period (this part is also included in the 20-minute preparation). The task is to
discuss the given topic with your partner. In addition to the topic, you will
also find statements on the task sheet that you take up.
 During the preparation period, you can consider the advantages and which
disadvantages come to your mind on the topic. But also think about your
personal experiences on the topic: Could you perhaps give an example from
your professional life? Or if not: What is your personal opinion on the topic
and why?
 It is important that you talk to your partner, that you ask him/her for his/her
statements, etc., and that you also give him/her a chance to express yourself.
You should also ask if you have not understood your partner's statement -
this is not negative!
 It is also best to prepare yourself for this part of examination with a partner
and practice discussing a topic.
