Helpful Hints

• Lay the pattern on fabric following the grains marked on the pattern pieces, pin, mark and cut, fuse
the waist band.
• Note the instructions written on the pattern as this will assist you in the construction of your pant.
• The seam allowance is 1cm or 3/8” for all seams, seam allowances are marked on the pattern 5
pieces with a dashed - - - line.
• We suggest you press the seams as you go.
• This style has a side seam invisible zip starting at the top of the waistband continuing down the left
side seam.
• Check your leg length and adjust if needed, note the shortening/ lengthening lines marked on the
pattern.

7. With right sides together sew the crotch seams together, start at the back and continue sewing all
the way around the crotch finishing at the front waistline.
8. Fuse the waist band and pin the outer edge of the waistband to the waist of the pant, leave the left
side open for the zip, once in place sew the band to the waist.
9. Sew the invisible zip into the left seam and waist band. See diagram.
