Handhabung und Gebrauch
Batterie einsetzen
Erforderlich ist eine 3-V-Lithium-
Batterie wie z. B. CR 123 A oder
DL 123 A. Eine Ni-Cd-Batterie ist
nicht zu lassig. Batterief ach-
deckel2 mit Munze offnen und
Batterie entsorechend Pols-
chema einsetzen, Deckel
schlieBen und einrasten lassen.

3 Filme belichtet werden.
Erscheint das halbgefullte Bat-
teriesymbol blinkend, sind die
Funktionsablaufe der Kamera
unterbrochen. Die Batterie muB
ausgewechselt werden.
Hinweis: Die nutzbare Batterie-
kaoazitat nimmt mit sinkender
Temperatur ab. Bei kaltem Wetter
empfiehlt es sich, eine Ersatz-
batterie bereitzu halten.

Tragschlaufe anbringen
Dunnes Ende der Tragschlaufe
durch Halter 1 ziehen und
langes Ende durch Schlaufe
fiihren.
Film einlegen
Ruckwand 20 durch Betdtigen
der Entriegeltaste offnen und
aufklappen. Filmpatrone in
Filmfach 27 einlegen, festdruk-
ken und Film soweit heraus-
ziehen, bis der Filmanfang den
Innenrahmen,,Film Tip' der
Kamera beruhrt.
Darauf achten, daB der
Perforationsrand von der Zahn-
trommel 28 erfaBt wird und der
Film flach aufliegt. Danach
Ruckwand schlieBen, der
Kameramotor transoortiert den
Film automatisch auf Bild 1.

Bei korrekt eingefddeltem und
transportiertem Film erscheint
auf dem Anzeigendisplay die
Transportkontrollanzeige m it
der Bildzahll.
Fur den Fall, daB ein Film
nicht korrekt eingelegt wurde,
erscheint im Display die
Anzeige,,E" (bei Filmen ohne
DX-Codierung erscheint ein
,,O"). Ruckwand offnen und Ein-
legevorgang wie besch rieben
wiederholen.
Hinweis: Bei DX-F|lmen stellt
die Kamera automatisch auf die
richtige Filmempfindlich keit von
ISO 50-3200 ein. Bei nicht
DX-codierten Filmen wird auto-
matisch ISO 100/21" verechnet.
Film nie in direktem Sonnenlicht
einlegen.

Vor der Aufnahme
Um Verwacklungen zu vermei-
den, die Kamera stets ruhig hal-
ten. Das gilt besonders fur Auf-
nahmen mit Tele-Einstellung.
Ferner ist stets darauf zu ach-
ten, daB Objektiv, Belichtungs-
sensor und Autofokusfenster
nicht durch Finger, Haare oder
Tragschlaufe verdeckt werden.
Taste ,,on /off" drucken,
Objektiv frihrt heraus und
Schutzschieber gibt das Objekt
frei. Die Kamera ist im Mode
,,Automati k" mit zugeschalteter
Bl itzautomatik betriebsbereit.
Bei wiederholtem Betatigen von
Taste 4 wird das Objektiv
wieder automatisch versen kt,
und der Schutzschieber
schlieBt wieder.

Bildausschnitt bestim men.
Durch Drucken der Zoom-
Schaltertaste ,,tele" fdhrt das
Objektiv heraus in die Tele-Stel-
lung. Bei Druck auf die Schalter-
taste ,,wide" fdhrt das Objekliv
zuruck in die Weitwinkel-Stelluno.
Uber den Sucher wird automa-
tisch der gewAhlte Bildaus-
schnitt angezeigt. G leichzeitig
erfolgt eine Anzeige im LCD-
Display in folgenden Schritten:
35,40,45,50,60 und 70 mm.
Wah rend des Zoomvorgan-
ges ist der Kameraausloser
gesperrt.

Sucheranzeigen beachten
Ausloser leicht niederdrucken,
die grune LED 26 leuchtet
stetig, wenn das Objekt sich in
einem Bereich von 1 m bis o
befindet.
Ein langsames Blinken
erscheint, wenn sich das Objekt
in einem Bereich von 0,6 m
bis 1 m befindet. Schnelles Blin-
ken zeigt an, wenn sich das
Objekt in einem Bereich befin-
det, in dem nicht fokussiert
werden kann.In diesem Fall ist
die Fokusgrenze uberschritten,
und die Kamera kann nicht
mehr fokussieren. Der Ausloser
wird automatisch blockiert.
Die rote LED 25 leuchtet,
wenn der Blitz voll aufgeladen

Stativ empfehlenswert.
Hinweis: Wahrend der Wieder-
aufladedauer des Blitzgerdts ist
die Auslosung gesperrt. Das
Blitzsymbol auf dem Anzeigen-
display signalisiert diesen Vor-
gang durch Blinken.
Autofokusrahmen
Der ovale Autofokusrahmen
entspricht dem AutofokusmeB-
feld der Kamera. Beim Anvisie-
ren des Motivausschnitts den
Fokusrahmen auf das Aufnah-
meobjekt ausrichten.

Ausl6sen und Belichten
Ausloser 3 drucken. Nach dem
Auslosen wird der Film auto-
matisch um ein Bild weitertrans-
portiert, und der Bildzdhler im
Display 8 zeigt die nachste zu
belichtende Aufnahme an.

Schdrfenspeicher
(Fokus-Lock)
Liegt das Objekt fur eine exakte
Fokussierung nicht genau in
der Bildmitte, kann der Schdr-
fenspeicher wie folgt benutzt
werden:
Sucher mit Autofokus-MeBfeld
auf das Aufnahme-Objekt aus-
richten, Ausldser 3 zum SPei-
chern der gemessenen Entfer-
nung leicht niederdrucken und
gedruckt halten (grune LED 26
leuchtet bzw. blinkt auf). Mit dem
fixierten Fokus nun den end-
gultigen Bildausschnitt festlegen
und auslosen. Der automa-
tische ScharfensPeicher hebt
sich auf, sobald der Ausloser
wieder losgelassen wird.

Nach der Aufnahme
Nach einer Aufnahme oder
Aufnahmeserie Objektiv wieder
uber Taste 4 vesenken, um so
ungewollte Aufnahmen zu
vermeiden. Spdtestens nach
3 Minuten Aufnahmepause fdhrt
die Kamera das Objektiv auto-
matisch zuruck.

Film entnehmen
Nach 12, 24 oder 36 Aufnahmen,
je nach Filmlange, wird der
belichtete Film automatisch
zuruckgespult. Der Rucktransport
stoppt, sobald sich der Film
wieder in der Patrone befindet. lm
Display 8 erscheint die Bitdzaht O
und das Patronensymbol signa-
lisiert durch Blinken die erfor-
derliche Filmentnahme. Soll ein
teilbelichteter Film zuruckgespult
werden, mit abgerundetem Stift
(2. B. Kugelschreiber) den Ruck-
spulknopf 10 drucken. Der Film
wird nun automatisch zuruck-
gespult.
Stoppt der Rucktransport
bevor auf dem Display die Bild-
zahl0 angezeigt wird, neue
Batterie einsetzen und Trans-
port zu Ende fuhren.

Nahbereichsaufnahmen
(Makroaufnahmen)
Makroaufnahmen sind in fol-
genden Bereichen moglich:
bei Weitwinkeleinstellung von
0,55 m bis 1 m und bei Teleein-
stellung von 0,65 m bis 1 m.
Befindet sich das Motiv in
diesen Bereich, schaltet das
Autofokussystem automatisch
auf Makro um und ein lang-
sames Blinken der grunen LED
26 signalisiert, daB sich das
Aufnahmeobjekt im jeweiligen
Makro-Bereich befindet. Auf
dem Anzeigendisplay erscheint
dabei das Makrosymbol ,lZ.
Motivausschniti im Makro-
leuchtrahmen anvisieren, Auto-
fokusrahmen auf das Auf-
nah meobjekt ausrichten,
Kamera behutsam auslosen.

SchnappschuB-Ei nstellung
Mit der SchnappschuB-Einstel-
lung wird der Entfernungsbe-
rerch der Kamera zwischen 1,3 m
bis 5 m fixiert. Das ist der ideale
Einstellbereich, wenn Kinder,
Tiere etc. fotografiert werden
sollen. Nach Drucken der Taste
12 ,,snap'ifdhrt die Kamera das
Objektiv in Weitwinkelposition
und fixiert die Entfernungsein-
stellung auf dem o. g. Bereich.
Solange der Ausloser gedruckt
gehalten wird, belichtet die
Kamera Serienaufnahmen im
,,Snap"-gs1rt.t.
Al le Selbstausloser-Fun ktio-
nen (Einfach-, Doppel-Selbst-
ausloser und Selbstausloser
mit 2 Sek. Vorlaufzeit) sind mit
der SchnappschuB-Einstellung
kombinierbar.

Blitzbetrieb
Mit dem Knopf 13 kann zwi-
schen,,Automatik-Bl itz" (auto),
,Vorblitz-Fun ktion" (red-eye),
,,Zusalz-Blitz" (f l-i n),,,Zusatz-
iI
Blitz mit Vorblitz" (fill-in/red eye),
,,Blitz-Aus' (off ) gewdhlt werden.
Die Kamera stellt sich auto-
matisch stets auf die Grund-
betriebsart ,,AUTO" mit zuge-
schaltetem Automatik-Bl itz
zuruck, nachdem die Ein-/Aus-
Taste betdtigt wurde.
Automatik-Blitz
In dieser Betriebsart schaltet
sich der Blitz bei unzureichen-
den Lichtverhaltnissen (kleiner
LW B) automatisch zu, um fur
eine korrekte Belichtung zu sor-
gen. lm Display 8 blinkt wdh-
rend der Ladezeit das I Sym-

bol. Wahrend dieser Zeit (ca.3
Sek.) ist der Ausloser gesperrt,
um Fehlbelichtungen zu ver-
meiden.
Vorblitz-Funktion
(Red-eye-reduction)
Personenaufnahmen, die bei
geringem Umgebungslicht mit
Blitz aufgenommen werden,
zeigen auf Bildern oft unschone
rote Augen. Um das zu vermei-
den, sendet die Kamera bei ge-
wdhlter Vorblitz-Funktion vor der
eigentlichen Aufnahme einen
Vorblitz aus. Dieser bewirkt, daB
sich die Puoillen schlieBen und
som it der,,Rote-Au gen-EIfekt"
wesentlich vermindert wird. Der
Blitz wird zweimal nacheinan-
der ausgelost (Vor- und Haupl
blitz). Es ist darauf achten, daB
 zum Zeitpunkt der Hauotblitz_
auslosung die Kamera ruhio
gehalten wird.
.henDie roten,,Blitzaugen" entste_
aufgrund einer Reflexion
der Netzhaut beim menscn_
lichen Auge. Dieser Effekt tdBt
sich verringern, je weiter die
Distanz zwischen Motiv und
Blitz zunimmt.

schwach angeleuchtete Motive
oder bei Gegenlichtaufnahmen.
Zur Vermeidung von starken
Reflexionen ist bei Gegenlicht
darauf zu achten, daB kein
direktes Licht auf das Obiektiv
failt.

durch Betatigen der Taste ,,set"

,,mode" gedruckt wird.
Die Funktionstasten sollten
vorzugsweise mit einem abge-
rundeten Stift (2. B. Kugelschrei-
ber) betEitigt werden.
Batteriewechsel der
Datenrtickwand
Erforderlich ist eine 3-V-Lithium-
Batterie (CR2025). Kameraruck-
wand offnen und Batteriefach-
deckel mit Kreuzsch itzschrau-

Alte Batterie entnehmen und
neue Batterie mit dem Pluspol
nach oben einlegen. Datum- und
Zeitangabe neu eingeben. Die

Pflege der Kamera

Trageschlaufe uber das Hand-
gelenk streifen.
Kamera vor Ndsse, Seesand

lung schutzen. Das gilt beson-
ders fur die geoffnete Kamera
beim Filmwechsel.
Fil mand ruckolatte sau berhal-

Das Innere des Gehauses wird
mit einem Pinsel gereinigt.
Ein weicher Haaroinsel ist
auch fur das Objektiv das beste
Reinigungsmittel. Fi ngerspu ren

entfernen. Wenn die ausgekuhl-
ten Linsen im Winter beim
Ubergang ins Warme beschla-
gen, einige Minuten warten, bis

Handling and use
Inserting the battery
A 3V-lithium battery (such as
CR 1234 or DL 1234) is requi-
red. Ni-cad batteries must not
be used. Open the cover 2 of
the battery compartment wtth a
coin and insert the battery as
shown by the polarity diagram.
Close the cover, so that it clicks
rnto place.
Dispose of your used batteries
responsibly!
lf the battery symbol is haltfull,
around 3 films can still be expo-
sed. When the battery symbol is
half-full and flashing, the
camera cannot operate and the
battery must be changed.
Note: At low temperature, the
charge available from the bat-
tery is reduced, and it is wise to
carry a spare battery in cold
weather.

Macrophotog raphy is possible
within the following focusing
ranges: from 0.55 m to 1 m with
a wide-angle setting, and from
0.65 m to 1 m with a telephoto
setting.

ranges, the autofocus system

ject distance is in the macro

will appear in the indicator dis-
play. Line up the critical subject
area in the macro frame and

Snap shooting
ln the snapshot mode, the
camera uses a fixed focus sef
ing of between 1.3 m and 5 m.
This is the ideal distance range
when taking pictures of chil-
dren, animals, etc. Press the
snap button 12,and the camera
will move the lens to the wtde-
angle position and fix the focus
setting to the above range. lf the
shutter release is kept Pressed,
the camera will take a
sequence of pictures in the
snapshot mode.
All selttimer functions (single,
two-shot, and with a 2 second
delay) can be combined with
the snapshot setting.

Working with flash
Switch 11 can be used to
choose between automatic
flash, pre{lash for red-eye
reduction, fill-in flash, fill-in with
prejlash, and flash off.
After actuating the on/off
switch, the camera will always
reset itself to the basic "auto'
mode with automatic flash con-
nection.
Automatic flash
In this mode, the flash unit is
automatically switched on if
light conditions are inadequate
(less than LWB), to ensure a cor-
rect exoosure. While the flash
unit is charging, the symbol
I in the display 8 flashes. Dur-
ing this time (about 3 seconds),

as to prevent faulty exposures.

PreJlash (ed-eye reduction)
Flash photography of people in
low light conditions often produ-
ces an unpleasant red-eye
effect. This can be avoided by
selecting the preJlash function,
during which the camera trig-
gers a preliminary flash before
the picture is actually taken. The
prejlash closes the pupils of the
eye and significantly reduces the
red-eye appearance. Two fla-
shes are Jired consecutively
(pre-flash and main flash). Make
sure that the camera is kept still
when the main flash is fired.
Red eyes during flash photo-
graphy are caused by light
reflecting from the retina of the
human eye. This effect can be
reduced by increasing the
camera-to-su bject d istance.

Looking after the camera
Do not allow the camera to
receive hard knocks and do not
drop it. Slip the carrying strap
over your wrist as a precaution.
Protect the camera from mois-
ture, sand and continuous sun-
light. This is particularly import-
ant when the camera is open
for a film change.
Keep the film pressure plate
clean and wipe it occasionally
with a soft leather.
The inside of the body can
be cleaned with a soft brush.
A soft brush is also best for
cleaning the lens. Fingermarks
can be removed with lens-
cleaning paper. 11 condensation
forms on the lens when the
camera is brought into a warm
place on a cold day, wait a few
minutes for the moisture to eva-
porate by itself.
Always keep the camera in
its case when not in use.
