GEN 2.9 Flugzeugfangeinrichtungen
Aircraft Arresting Systems
1. Allgemeines
Auf den Flugplätzen der deutschen Luftwaffe werden grund-
sätzlich Hakenfanganlagen der Typen 44B-2D sowie 44B-2L
genutzt.
Detaillierte Angaben über das genutzte System und über die
Position der Fanganlagen des jeweiligen Flugplatzes sind im
Teil AD 2 veröffentlicht.
Die Flugzeugfangeinrichtungen am Pistenende sind immer
betriebsbereit. Die Fangseile der Fangeinrichtungen am Pis-
tenanfang sind ausgehängt, sie können auf Anfrage aktiviert
werden (Einzelheiten siehe ETXX AD 2.12).
Die Hakenfanganlagen werden im Aerodrome Layout ent-
sprechend ihrer Fangmöglichkeiten (ein- oder zweiseitig), un-
abhängig von flugbetrieblichen Einschränkungen, dargestellt.
2. Hakenfanganlagen
2.1 Beschreibung
Die Hakenfanganlagen können in betriebsbereitem Zustand
mit gespanntem Fangseil verschiedene Flugzeugtypen inner-
halb ihrer Leistungsgrenzen automatisch und ohne Beauf-
sichtigung fangen. Wird ein Lfz von einer Fanganlage
abgefangen, kommt es innerhalb einer Auslaufstrecke von ca.
270 m (Modell 44B-2D) bzw. innerhalb einer Auslaufstrecke
von 420 m (Modell 44B-2L) zum Stehen. Die maximale Ab-
weichung beim Fangen des Flugzeuges darf 7.5 m nach
rechts oder links, bezogen auf die Startbahnmitte, betragen.
2.2 Technische Daten

1. General
The hook arresting systems (cable) used on principle at
aerodromes of the German Air Force are the types 44B-2D
and 44B-2L.
Detailed information about the system used and the position
of the arresting systems at each aerodrome is provided in
section AD 2.
Far-end aircraft arresting systems are ready for no notice
engagement. Approach end cables of the arresting systems
are disconnected, activation on request (for details see ETXX
AD 2.12).
The hook arresting systems are displayed in the aerodrome
layout with regard to their arresting capabilities (unidirectional
or bidirectional) irrespective of flight operations restrictions.
2. Hook Arresting Systems
2.1 Description
When the arresting cable has been connected and the
systems are operational, the arresting systems can
automatically arrest several types of aircraft within their
limitations without supervision. If an aircraft is arrested by an
arresting system, it will be stopped within a run-out of
approximately 270 m (type 44B-2D) or 420 m (type 44B-2L).
When an aircraft is arrested, it may be up to 7.5 m to the left
or right of the runway centre line.
