Unternehmen / The company
Im Jahr 1880 gegründet, hat Mühlen Sohn die technische Ent-
wicklung seiner Produkte über weit mehr als ein Jahrhundert
vorangetrieben. Heute entwickeln, produzieren und vertreiben
wir hochwertigste und technisch anspruchsvolle Schwerge-
webe. Dabei verstehen wir uns ausdrücklich als Manufaktur
sowie als kompetenter und Innovationen initiierender Ent-
wicklungs- und Servicepartner für den Maschinen- und Anla-
genbau (OEM-Erstausstattungspartner).
Diese Verbindung aus Tradition und Innovation ist die Grund-
lage für unseren Erfolg. Seit der Unternehmensgründung
bringen wir immer wieder aufs Neue Bewegung in unsere
Branche. Im weltweit hart umkämpften Markt des Maschinen-
und Anlagenbaus sind wir deshalb heute nicht nur eine feste
Größe, sondern geradezu das Synonym für Qualität und Tech-
nologieführerschaft. Im Bereich Wellpappengurte sind wir
Weltmarktführer und im Bereich Fluidisiergewebe gehören
wir zu den Top-Unternehmen weltweit. Unsere Exportquote
beträgt über 90 %.

Mühlen Sohn has been making technical advances in prod-
uct development for well over a century. Today we develop,
produce and sell high-quality heavy-duty fabrics for techni-
cally demanding applications. We see ourselves primarily as a
manufacturer but also as a skilled and innovative development
and service OEM partner in mechanical and plant engineering.

Corrugator Belts
Our corrugator belts are specially developed for use in the
heat and traction sections of corrugated board plants. They
are principally designed to flawlessly transport corrugated
board and optimize drying. We expose the belts to consider-
able stress in the form of temperature, contact pressure, fric-
tion, tension and humidity. Mühlen Sohn corrugator belts are
multilayer fabrics. Their wear, tear and heat resistant fibers
give the belts outstanding traction and transport properties,
guaranteeing you a safe and reliable production process.

FLUIDIZING FABRICS
Mühlen Sohn FLUITEX ® fluidizing fabrics are used for the
transportation of powder or granulated bulk materials all over
the world. There are virtually no limits to how they can be
used. Our fabrics ensure fast, trouble-free air slide trans-
portation, rapid and total discharge for silos, trucks, railway
wagons and vessels, as well as optimal coating in fluidizing
basins.

Die Basis unseres Erfolgs bilden höchste Produktionsqualität
„Made in Germany“ sowie die kontinuierliche Zusammenarbeit mit
den weltweit führenden Maschinen- und Anlagenbauern (OEM).
Unsere Kunden können sich auf unser Qualitätsmanagement ver-
lassen. Es umfasst alle Bereiche: vom Rohstoffeinkauf über die
Auftragsabwicklung, Forschung und Entwicklung bis hin zur Pro-
duktion  und After-Sales-Betreuung. Die Qualitätsstandards wer-
den einerseits durch die enge Zusammenarbeit mit unabhängigen
Labors oder Prüfinstituten, andererseits durch die kontinuierliche
Schulung unserer Mitarbeiter gesichert.
Rohmaterialien
Wir verwenden ausschließlich Rohmaterial gemäß DIN 60910
von ausgewählten und zertifizierten Lieferanten. Alle Rohma-
terialien werden einer eingehenden Prüfung mit modernsten
Messmethoden unterzogen.
Maschinen & Werkzeuge
Im Maschinen- und Werkzeugbau profitieren wir von unserer
langjährigen spezifischen Erfahrung und unseren hochqualifizier-
ten Mitarbeitern. So sind wir in der Lage, unsere Maschinen stets
ideal auf das Anforderungsprofil unserer Kunden anzupassen.
Produktion
Unser einzigartiges Webverfahren ermöglicht die hervorragende
Qualität unserer Produkte. Die kontinuierliche Überwachung und
technische Dokumentation der Produktion sowie regelmäßige Qua-
litätskontrollen sichern unsere gleichbleibend hohen Standards.
Innovation
Viele Neuerungen und patentierte Erfindungen stammen aus
unserer internen Entwicklungsabteilung. Dies hat uns gehol-
fen, die Marktführerschaft zu erobern und zu sichern. Stetige
Weiterentwicklung durch intensives Innovationsmanagement
sichert uns diese Position in einem hart umkämpften Markt und

Umwelt
Wir sind uns unserer Umweltrelevanz bewusst. Deshalb opti-
mieren wir nicht nur den eigenen Fertigungsprozess, sondern
sorgen auch für die optimale Wiederverwertung unserer Pro-
dukte. So werden beispielsweise unsere Garnabfälle einem Re-
cyclingprozess zugeführt, der eine erneute Verwendung in der
Garnherstellung ermöglicht. Auch werden alle unsere Arbeits-
prozesse konstant auf ihre Energieeffizienz überprüft.

sales care. We safeguard our quality standards through close
cooperation with independent labs and testing institutes on
the one hand, and continuous employee training on the other.
Raw materials
We only use materials compliant with DIN 60910, from select-
ed, certified vendors. All raw materials are rigorously tested
using the latest measuring techniques.

from the specialist experience we have acquired over many
decades, and of our highly qualified employees. This is how

also ensure that our products are as recyclable as possible.
For example, our waste yarn is sent for recycling by a process
that allows it to be used for manufacturing new yarn. We also
regularly test the energy efficiency of all our work processes.

gen machen die von uns ausgesuchten Händler und Vertreter

An export quota of over 90 % requires global structures and
an international presence. Our goal is to provide our custom-
ers – wherever they are – with products in line with local
markets, and tailor-made service. To be specific, we employ
over 150 people direct in Germany, China and the USA, and
have a strong network of channel sales partners in over 100
other countries. We communicate constantly with our select-
ed dealers and representatives, and provide them with quali-
fied product training, making them expert points of contact
for our customers and guaranteeing 24-hour service all over
the world.
