1 Sicherung der Geräteinterface Leiterkarte GIF am Steckverbinder zum Motherboard.

Die Verbindung vom Geräteinterface zum Motherboard wurde nun als Flachkabelverbindung ausge-
führt, die am Geräteinterface angelötet ist und auf dem Motherboard gesteckt wird.
Um ein Lösen des Steckverbinders vom Motherboard zum Geräteinterface GIF zu verhindern, wird
dieser Steckverbinder mit zwei Kabelbinder (93 x 2,4 mm, Best. Nr.: 10-044) gesichert. Es ist dazu not-
wendig, das Motherboard auszubauen, damit die Kabelbinder durch die entsprechenden Bohrungen im
Motherboard geführt werden können.

2 Neuer Gerätetreiber CZGIF.VxD.
An einigen Geräten trat eine Fehlfunktion durch den A/D Wandler in Zusammenhang mit der internen
Spannungsmessung auf (Error 12V).
Ab April 2003 ist der Gerätetreiber in der ausgelieferten Software enthalten.
Um dieses Problem zu lösen, wurde ein neuer Gerätetreiber CZGIF.VxD entwickelt. Dieser Treiber
steht über das CG Intranet als selbstentpackende Datei CZGIF_2.01.216.exe zum Download zur Ver-
fügung.

VxDCopy.bat Batchfile zum Kopieren des Treibers in das Windows Systemverzeichnis
Für den Zugang zum Downloadbereich des Geschäftsbereiches CG benötigen Sie eine Zugangsbe-
rechtigung. Diese Zugangsberechtigung können Sie bei Herrn Martin Burger (m.burger@zeiss.de) be-
antragen.
Sollte der Download nicht möglich sein, so kann dieser Treiber auch bei MS-TS1/Walter Krause
(w.krause@zeiss.de) angefordert werden.

Prozedur
• Download CZGIF_2.01.216.exe vom Intranet: http://zeissnet.zeiss.org/AbtME-DK/homemedk.nsf
Service/Med/Download Area/Software/Service Software/1.Instruments/IOL-Master/Drivers download
• Starte Entpackung von CZGIF_2.01.216.exe mit Doppelklick in eine Datei (z. B. Temp).
• Kopiere CZGIF.vxd und VxDCopy.bat auf eine Diskette, Diskette entsprechend beschriften.
• Diskette in IOLMaster Diskettenlaufwerk einlegen und VxDCopy.bat durch Doppelklick starten.
→ Daten werden auf die Diskette kopiert.
• Neustart des IOLMaster.
• Überprüfen der Versionsnummer im Feld VxD der IOLMaster Instrumentendaten. Anzeige:

Re: IOLMaster

1 Securing the plug connection of the GIF instrument interface PCB on the motherboard.
The connection of the instrument interface with the motherboard has now been implemented as a flat
cable connection which is soldered onto the instrument interface and plugged onto the motherboard.
To prevent the plug connection from the motherboard to the GIF instrument interface from becoming
detached, the plug connector is secured with two cable ties (93x2.4mm, Cat. No.: 10-044). For this, the
motherboard has to be removed to permit the cable binders to be passed through the appropriate bores
in the motherboard.

2 New CZGIF.VxD. instrument driver

In some instruments, malfunctions caused by the A/D converter have occurred in connection with in-
ternal voltage measurement. (Error 12V).
The instrument driver has been included in the delivered software since April 2003.
To solve this problem, a new instrument driver CZGIF.VxD has been developed. This driver is now
available as a self-unpacking file CZGIF_2.01.216.exe for download from the CG Intranet.
Contents of CZGIF_2.01.216.exe:

VxDCopy.bat Batch file for copying the driver to the Windows system directory
For accessing the download area of the CG Division, an access authorization is needed. You can obtain
this authorization from Mr. Martin Burger (m.burger@zeiss.de).
Should downloading not be possible, the driver can also be obtained from MS-TS1/Walter Krause
(w.krause@zeiss.de).

Procedure
• Download CZGIF_2.01.216.exe from the Intranet:

• Copy CZGIF.vxd and VxDCopy.bat to a disk and label the disk appropriately.
• Insert the disk in the IOL Master disk drive and start VxDCopy.bat by a double click.
→ The data is copied to the disk.
• Re-start the IOL Master
• Check the version number in the VxD field of the IOL Master instrument data. Display: 2.01.0216
