Durch falsche Behandlung der Computerleiterplatte besteht die Gefahr der Beschädigung der Leiter-
platte.
Bei der Handhabung der Leiterplatte ist jegliche Biege- und/oder Verdrehungsbeanspruchung der LP
zu vermeiden, da sonst wegen der Feinstleitertechnik der Leiterplatte die grosse Gefahr von Leiterbahn-
rissen oder Abriss von Lötpunkten besteht. Solche Unterbrechungen führen dann zu zeitweiligen Aus-
fällen der Leiterplatte mit nicht vorhersehbaren Fehlersymptomen.
Weiterhin sind selbstverständlich alle Vorsichtmassnahmen bezüglich statischer Entladung bei der
Handhabung der Leiterplatte zu beachten.
Beim Umgang mit der Leiterplatte sind deswegen unbedingt folgende Punkte zu beachten:
1 Beim Öffnen und Schliessen des Computergehäuses keine mechanische Belastung auf die Leiter-
platte ausüben.
2 Beim Ausbau der Computerleiterplatte alle Befestigungsclips (falls in die Grundplatte geschraubt
und nicht geklebt) abschrauben, Leiterplatte herausnehmen und dann die Clips einzeln aus der Lei-
terplatte entfernen.
3 Beim Einstecken der GIF IOL Leiterplatte in die Leiterplatte die Computerleiterplatte auf eine plane,
leitfähige und nicht zu harte Unterlage legen (z. B. leitfähigen Schaumstoff oder Antistatiktüte aber
keine metallisch leitende Fläche).
4 Beim Einstecken der Stecker für das Diskettenlaufwerk und die Festplatte die Computerleiterplatte
auf eine plane, leitfähige und nicht zu harte Unterlage legen (z. B. leitfähigen Schaumstoff oder An-
tistatiktüte aber keine metallisch leitende Fläche).
5 Beim Einbau der Computerleiterplatte die Befestigungsclips (falls in die Grundplatte geschraubt und
nicht geklebt) diese einzeln in die Leiterplatte drücken (LP dazu auf eine plane, leitfähige und nicht
zu harte Unterlage, z. B. leitfähigen Schaumstoff oder Antistatiktüte aber keine metallisch leitende
Fläche legen). Dann die Leiterplatte in das Computergehäuse einbauen.

If the computer PCB is handled incorrectly there will be a risk of damaging the PCB.
When handling the PCB, please take care not to subject the PCB to bending or torsional stress. Owing
to the ultra-fine conductor track technology used with this PCB, this type of stress can break the con-
ductor tracks or the soldering points. These breaks will result in temporary failures of the PCB causing
unforeseeable errors.
In addition, all precautions regarding static discharge must, of course, continue to be observed during
the handling of the PCB.
When handling this PCB, it is vital that you observe the following points:
1 Do not subject the PCB to any mechanical stress when opening and closing the computer housing.
2 When removing the computer PCB, unscrew all fastening clips (if screwed into and not glued to the
base plate), remove the PCB and then the clips one by one from the PCB.
3 Before inserting the GIF IOL PCB in the computer PCB, place the computer PCB on a flat, conduc-
ting support which is not too hard (e. g. conductive foam material or antistatic bag, but no conductive
metallic support).
4 When inserting the connectors for the disk drive and the hard disk, place the computer PCB on a
flat, conducting support which is not too hard (e. g. conductive foam material or antistatic bag, but

5 Before installing the computer PCB, press each clip into the base plate (if the clips were screwed
into and not glued to the base plate) (place the computer PCB on a flat, conducting support which is

Install the PCB into the computer housing.
