Betr.: IOLMaster (XP) - Probleme mit Drucker Epson Stylus C86

Problem:
Wird ein Drucker Epson Stylus C86 mit einem USB Kabel an einen IOLMaster (XP)
angeschlossen, so kann das Programm des IOLMaster (XP) blockieren. Dies kann auftreten, wenn
nach dem Starten eines Ausdrucks zeitgleich eine andere Funktion aktiviert wird. Eine Bedienung
ist dann nicht mehr möglich und der IOLMaster (XP) muss neu gestartet werden.
Beispiel:
Dies kann auftreten, wenn z. B. nach Abschluss einer Messung der Ausdruck gestartet wird und
sofort anschließend der IOL Berechnungsdialog geöffnet wird.
Lösung:
Das beschriebene Problem tritt nicht auf, wenn der Drucker anstelle mit einem USB Kabel am USB
Port, mit einem Parallelkabel am Parallelport LPT1 angeschlossen wird.
Wird der Drucker am Parallelport LPT1 angeschlossen, so ist die Einstellung unter
„Drucker/Eigenschaften“ entsprechend auf LPT1 zu ändern.
Hinweis:
Wenn Probleme in Zusammenhang mit diesem Drucker auftreten, so sollte als erste Maßnahme
der Anschluss des Druckers mit einem Parallelkabel am Parallelport LPT1 erfolgen.

Re.: IOLMaster (XP) - Problems with the Epson Stylus C86 printer
Problem:
If an Epson Stylus C86 printer is connected to IOL Master (XP) via a USB cable, the program of
the IOLMaster (XP) may be blocked. This may occur if a printout is started and another function is
activated directly afterwards. Operation is then no longer possible and the IOLMaster (XP) must be
rebooted.
Example:
The problem may occur e.g. when the printout is started after completion of a measurement,
directly followed by the opening of the IOL calculation dialog.
Solution:
The problem described does not occur if the printer is connected via a parallel cable on parallel
port LPT1 instead of a USB cable on the USB port.
If the printer is connected to parallel port LPT1, the setting in Printer/Properties must be changed
to LPT1 accordingly.
Note:
If there are any problems with this printer, the first action should be to connect the printer to
parallel port LPT1 using a parallel cable.
