Das WARNER LEWIS Kolben-Differenzdruckmanometer WL5000 ist besonders geeignet Differenzdrcke
sicher und genau anzuzeigen.
Das Messergebnis wird unter einem doppelten Fadenkreuz parallaxefrei angezeigt. Falsches Ablesen ist
ausgeschlossen.
Das Manometer zeigt den aktuell anstehenden Differenzdruck und zustzlich den hchsten Differenzdruck
der letzten Messungen mit einem Schleppkolben dauerhaft an. Die Anzeige ist bei Bedarf sehr einfach
zurckzustellen.
Das Manometer ist fr stationren und mobilen Einsatz ausgelegt. Die Messeinheit sitzt geschtzt in einem
stabilen Aluminiumgehuse mit Klarsicht-Frontabdeckung. Messzylinder und Messkolben aus Spezialglas,
mit kleinsten Toleranzen eingepasst, ergeben eine hohe Messgenauigkeit.

PISTON DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE

GAUGE MODEL WL5000
The WARNER LEWIS model WL5000 direct acting piston differential pressure gauge provides unique
features to assist in accurate recording of differential pressures.
The WL5000 gauge has a bulls-eye type viewer to eliminate the chance of taking the reading at the wrong
edge of the piston, as is possible with existing direct acting piston type gauges.
The maximum differential pressure experienced across the vessel is displayed on the gauge, along with the
actual, current reading, by means of a trailing piston. The trailing piston can be easily reset.
The gauge is of a rugged design suitable for use on static or mobile vessels. An aluminium casing along with
a tough transparent screen, protects the glass tube. The piston is glass, allowing the minimum clearances
between the piston and the glass tube for improved accuracy.

FILTER WATER MONITOR

The Warner Lewis model VF61 filter water monitor provides a maximum flow rate of 56 usgpm in aviation
fuel, when fitted with Velcon Aquacon filter water monitor element model ACO-61401K.
The VF61 has a die cast aluminium alloy head with 1 BSP inlet and outlet. There are 1/8 BSP threaded
connections for differential pressure and air vent and a 1/2 drain connection. The main filter housing is
stainless steel with a nitrile o ring seal.
The housing can be removed quickly for easy element changes.
Differential pressure gauges available include either a go/no-go type gauge or a 0-25 psi graduated gauge.
An automatic air eliminator, drain valve and fastening bar is also available.

COUPLER COLLAR-LIFT

The Warner Lewis collar lift, part number WL5317, provides a more comfortable means to lift the collar of the
Carter 4 API hydrant couplers.
Earlier methods of fixing such lifting devices meant drilling the collar of the coupler. The drilling of the holes
is not easy, particularly as the part of the collar where the holes are required, is on many units, at an angle.
The new WL5317 collar-lift, eliminates the need to drill or modify the coupler in any way. The new lifter
clamps around the collar. It is quick and easy to install, requiring only a spanner.

COUPLER DEPTH GAUGE

MODEL WL5218
The Warner Lewis depth gauge, part number WL5218, allows easy and accurate setting of the height of the
pressure relief valve on the Carter hydrant input coupler model 60700-1.
The pressure relief valve, part number 44229, allows pressure from the coupler half of the assembly, to
relieve into the intake hose, downstream of the pressure controller. This prevents overstraining the poppet,
link and bearing.
It is important that the pressure relief valve height is set correctly. This height is detailed in the Carter
overhaul manual SM60700-1. It is not an easy measurement to take, however, requiring straight edges and
rule. The WL5218 gauge makes setting the correct height simple and quick.
The locknut, part number 200761, is also not easy to access and tighten, once the relief valve height is set,
it is particularly difficult to apply the correct torque. The Warner Lewis torque wrench kit model WL4680
includes a special fitting for reaching this particular nut. The fitting alone to suit a drive is available, part
number WL4680/9.

CARTER NOZZLE TEST RIG

MODEL WL5200
The Warner Lewis model WL5200, is a bench-top test rig for checking the operation of Carter underwing
refuelling nozzles, model 60427, 64348 and 64200.
The electric/air operated test rig, can check that a nozzle is fit for service. The inlet pressure and control
pressure gauges show whether the hose end regulator is functioning correctly. Any failing seals will show up
by way of air leaks. In the case of a regulator failing to function correctly but with no obvious seal problem,
the test rig allows accurate identification of the particular seal or component which requires attention.
The test rig is designed to aid the complete overhaul of a Carter nozzle and regulator. The nozzle assembly
may be secured firmly to the rig for the duration of the overhaul and the regulator spring removed safely.
A nozzle passing the static test on the WL5200 requires no further dynamic testing prior to use fuelling
aircraft.
Other makes of refuelling nozzle may be tested on the WL5200 for performance, however, the various
attachments are designed particularly for overhauling and testing Carter nozzles.The test rig has optional
attachments for testing Carter 60700-1 hydrant input couplers.

TORQUE WRENCH KIT

MODEL WL4680
The Warner Lewis model WL4680 torque wrench kit, is specifically designed to provide the means to
correctly tighten the various screwed joints of Carter ground refuelling equipment.
The appropriate service manuals, available from Warner Lewis or Carter Ground Fueling Company, specify
the various torque requirements for the installation of most threaded fasteners used in Carter products.
Many of these joints would be impossible to access using readily available tools.
Further information on torque values can be obtained from the Carter Service Bulletin SB0501700, dated
May 1, 1994 and from the Carter maintenance manuals.
The WL4680 torque wrench kit, comprises special fittings to allow access to the normally inaccessible bolts.

MODEL WL4354
The Warner Lewis model WL4354 is an 18 hydrant pit box suitable for IP hydrant pit valves. It is designed to
ensure no leakage of fuel into the ground, whilst allowing a great deal of horizontal and vertical movement.
The spheroidal graphite cast iron outer housing, is internally epoxy coated in white Amercoat 56C in
accordance with MIL-C-4556D and externally coated in Intertar, intertuf coal tar epoxy black paint.
The inner housing is a welded steel construction with a welded in vertical riser pipe, coated internally in Copon
epoxy paint. 6 ANSI 300lb riser flange, complete with studs, nuts and washers. A sealing flange between the
outer and inner box allows movement between the boxes, 15mm in the horizontal plain and 30mm vertically.
Inner box internally epoxy coated in white Amercoat 56C in accordance with MIL-C-4556D . Externally
fibreglass reinforced for corrosion protection and as electrical insulation in case inner housing is connected to
cathodic protection system. There is no metallic contact between the outer and inner box.
NDT examination is carried out n all welds, magnetic particle or x-ray where appropriate.
18 diameter pit lid of aluminium alloy, designed to withstand aircraft tyre load. Non-slip surface. Nitrile buna
n cover seal. Underside of lid to provide ground clearance to prevent damage to integral polypropylene
covered retaining cable. The cable is secured to the lid with a swivel joint to prevent twisting and kinking.
Internal fixing for earth strap and eye for connecting cover retaining cable. One flange stud drilled and tapped
for supplied earthing strap.
Levelling brackets are available to support the box on the riser flange whilst setting in concrete. The brackets
should be removed once the concrete has set.
