Elektronik−Module austauschen
Vorsicht
Montieren Sie beim Austauschen eines Elektronik−Moduls nur ein Elektronik−
Modul gleichen Typs.
Vorsicht
CPX−GE−EV−S.

Fig.1: Pneumatic connecting and operating elements of the MPA valve terminal
The MPA valve terminal with CPX terminal supports the control of maximum 8 MPA
pneumatic modules. The following number of valve coils (providing only one valve
size is used) is therefore possible:
MPA1: up to 64 valve solenoid coils (maximum 32 valve locations)
MPA2: up to 32 valve solenoid coils (maximum 16 valve locations)
Please note
Note with the addressing that an MPA2 pneumatic module occupies only 4 ad
dresses compared with an MPA1 pneumatic module. Further rules for addres
sing can be found in the "MPA pneumatics manual" (P.BE−MPA−...).

Caution
When replacing an electronic module, fit only an electronic module of the same
type
Caution
Damage to components and functional damage.
It is not permitted to use a manifold sub−base with valve supply type CPX−GE−
EV−V for supplying power to MPA pneumatic modules with electronic modules
without electrical isolation.
S If your MPA pneumatics are fitted with electronic modules of type VMPA1−FB−
EMS−8 or VMPA2−FB−EMS−4, supply the MPA pneumatics only via system
supply module type CPX−GE−EV−S.
Note that MPA electronic modules may only be supplied with power via the follow
ing modules:
1) If the system supply module is used, the electrical isolation will not function.
The electronic modules VMPA2−FB−... support the control of two valve solenoid
coils per valve location.
Further information on MPA electronic modules can be found in the manual for the
CPX I/O modules and in the leaflet enclosed with the product.

Please note
MPA valve terminals with MP connection:
maximum 6 MPA connection blocks are permitted
MPA valve terminals with CPX terminal:
maximum 8 MPA connection blocks are permitted
if more than 7 connection blocks are mounted on a wall, additional fasten
ings (wall brackets) must be fitted after every 2 to max. 4 connection blocks.
1) Specifications on vibration and shock of the CPX terminal can be found in the
CPX system manual.
2) MPA valve terminal with CPX terminal and
up to 5 sub−bases without additional fastenings: severity class 2
as from 6 sub−bases without additional fastenings: severity class 1
as from 6 sub−bases with additional fastenings (wall bracket) after 2 or max. 4
sub−bases: severity class 2.
Please note
The screw connectors of the pneumatic connections will cause a reduction in
the flow of the valves.
