1 Anwendungsbereich und Zweck 1 Scope and purpose

Dieser Group Standard dient Lieferanten, Herstellern und
BMW Fachstellen als Instrument zur Optimierung der
Umweltverträglichkeit von Produkten.
Sie entbindet Lieferant und Verarbeiter aber nicht, selbst die
Umweltverträglichkeit ihrer Produkte zu überwachen.
Die gelisteten Inhaltsstoffe, ihre Anwendungen und Vorgaben
sind als Ergänzung zu GS 93008--1 zu sehen.
This Group Standard serves as an instrument for the
suppliers, manufacturers and BMW specialist departments
for the optimization of the environmental compatibility of
products.
However, it does not relief the suppliers and processing
companies to monitor the environmental compatibility of their
products on their own authority.
The listed substances, their application and their
specifications are intended as supplement to GS 93008--1.

Vorgaben für die Summe aller organischen Emissionen (total
volatile organic compounds, TVOC) und weitere Stoffe
werden mit ihren Messverfahren werkstoff- bzw. bauteilspezi-
fisch in den entsprechenden Lastenheften (LH), Technischen
Liefervorschriften (TL), Qualitätsvorschriften (QV) oder
Group Standards (GS) festgelegt. Diese Vorgaben sind eben-
falls einzuhalten.
Nach VDA 278 bzw. AA--0061 ermittelte Stoffkonzentrationen
sind häufig nicht direkt auf Bauteilemissionen übertragbar.
Entscheidend sind daher die am Bauteil bzw. Fahrzeug
gemessenen Werte.
Für Chemikalien, die in und am Fahrzeug verbleiben, gelten
hinsichtlich des Geruchs die Vorgaben aus Tabelle 3:

Substance concentrations, which have been analysed
according to VDA 278 or AA--0061, often cannot be applied
directly to component emissions. The values measured in the
component or vehicle are therefore decisive.
For chemicals remaining in and on the vehicle concerning the
odor the specifications of table 3 are applicable:
