Beschreibung:

Rz=4 µm.
Servicearbeiten

Description:
1132.12 is a mobile, electrical-hydrualic O.R. table with hydraulic valves that are electrically actuated. 5/3 directional
valves are used for control of the oil flow (5 connectors, 3 switch positions). Depending on the position of the control
piston in the valve, the hydraulic lines are connected in a certain way to move the piston rod of the cylinder out, in, or
lock it in any position. In addition to the 5/3 directional valves there are check valves which are opened or closed by
means of the oil flow from the 5/3 directional valve to the cylinder. These check valves are always closed as long as
there is no movement and the piston rods of the cylinders are prevented from going down under mechanical load or
due to loss of pressure.
Accumulators
The accumulators are maintenance-free lead gel types. These accumulators supply the motor M1 with a voltage
of 24V DC. 2 12V-Accumulators with a capacity of 16Ah are sufficient for this purpose. The period of operation
until the accumulators must be charged again depends on the current consumption of the motor and the actual
time the motor M1 is running. The current consumption of the motor is normally appr. 7A. According to the
manufacturer the useful lifetime of the accumulators is 5...6 years. This equals appr. 300 cycles of charging/
discharging provided that the accumulators are charged weekly.
If more than one O.R. table is operated in the same area of operating rooms (same floor) ist is essential that
each of the O.R. tables and its IR remote control is adjusted to a code that is different from the others - see
technical description.
4 potentiometers B3/B4/B5/B6 are connected to the controller board A1 and their output voltage is evaluated and
monitored by the controller unit during operation.
The output voltage of the potentiometers must always be in the range of 0,16....4,84 V.
2 limit switches S1/S2 are connected to the controller unit A1 to indicate that the O.R. table is in „Lock“ position.
At the same time the bothgreen LEDs at the corded hand control and at the override panel A2 are illuminated.
As long as the O.R. table is in „Unlocked“ position the red LEDs are on.

Troubleshooting:
When pressing the „0“ button, the function moves into
the opposite direction -> interchange the black and red
wires. A continuous acoustic signal is generated when
pressing the „0“ button -> a potentiometer is defective
or outside its limit range (0.16 ...4.84V). ->
Replacement or adjustment of the potentiometer – (see
6.6).
Note:
Adjustment procedure is described in appendix „A“.
page: 10 WR113112XXGB02
2.8 Corded hand control and foot switch
Note:
The IR code must be acknowledged on the board A4
by means of the pressing the switch S3.
If the board A4 was replaced but the code not yet
acknowledged, the table will also not respond to
signals from the corded hand control!
WR113112XXGB02 page: 11
. Measurements and tests at the hydraulic system
Note:
Before opening any hydraulic connection ensure that
the cylinder in question is free from mechanical load!
The piston rod of the cylinder must be moved to position
where the cylinder is free from external load - this is
normally achieved at the lowermost position of the
movement.
If the height movement is concerned use a distance
bar to support the guiding.
With this measure you also prevent the system from
picture 1 considerable oil loss.

Service information: Sticking effect at the vertical guide of mobile O.R. tables 1131.12
Betastar, 1132.11/12 Alphastar
Dateiname: Service info Prism guide
Entwicklungsnr.: RD Serienbetreuung
Author: Holger Dörr
Ort: Montage BE1920, BE1970
Date: 7. September 2005
Summary:
This information has been issued due to another complaint concerning the vertical guide of
the O.R. table 1132.11.
The height function became stuck and could not be moved anymore at some occasions. This
effect could be traced back to adhesion effects in the guide.
Measures taken for assembly in the factory:
In May 2005 all guide prism parts on stock were reworked to a roughness depth of Rz =
7±3µm. An amendment in the drawing was made accordingly.
Measures to be taken by the service:
In case of complaints compression must be reduced on the guide prism at the right side. The
procedure is described under “service work”
Detailed description:
The guide prisms that have been manufactured for 8 years require a roughness depth of 4
µm for ideal sliding properties. Results of measurements in the course of the 133 re-design in
March 2004 showed roughness depths of 6 µm and this was accepted. According to the
drawing the value should be Rz=4 µm.
A further inspection in May 2005 resulted in values of Rz=0,4 µm. This lead to unexpectedly
high adhesion forces that could lead to blocking of the guide in any position.
In general all O.R. tables of the types 1132.11, 1132.12, 1132.17, 1131.12 that were
assembled in the period February…April 2005. As per our current state of experience the
products with a piston diameter of 35mm (1133, 1132.13) are not affected. could be affected
Inspections and tests for complaints “height guide does not move anymore”
- Is the O.R. table switched to LOCK position?
- Does the guide still not move though the height function is actuated
several times up and down?
- Can all the other functions of the O.R. table be moved?
- Can the table be actuated by the override panel? – except height function (to ensure
that there is no electrical problem).
- Does the hydraulic unit work (sound) and is the switching (click) of the valves audible?
If the answer to all these questions is “yes” the described guide problem may be the
cause for the present complaint.

Service work
After it has been ensured that the problem is caused by the described effect proceed as
follows:
1. Remove the casing parts. Connect pressure gauges (manometer) to HA and HB.
Measure the pressure while the guide is moved upward along the entire range of the
column. Document the measurement results. The values should be 30…45 bar.
3. If the pressure rises considerably in some areas in the range of movement the screws
must be loosened only at the position in question. – see 5.
4. Starting at the uppermost screw, loosen max. 2 screws. Open the screws by ¼ round
while the sliding part is positioned at the same height and tighten them again up to a
torque of 140 Nm. By this measure the pre-compression is reduced by approx. 5 bar.
5. Move the height function down to a position where the sliding part is located at the
level of the 3rd and 4th screws. Loosen the screws by ¼ round while the sliding part is
positioned at the same height and tighten them again up to a torque of 140 Nm.
6. Apply the same procedure at the other screws positioned below – see 5.
Except the lowermost pair of screws! – Always work only at one pair of the screws.

Important notes:
- Screws must not be opened more than ¼ round and torqued down again to
140Nm.
- After adjustment of the guide the pressure must be measured at HA and HB while
the guide is moved over its entire range.
- If the pressure at HA could not be reduced to 30…35 bar the procedure must be
applied once again. There must be no pressures below 25bar as this would
indicate that there is not enough compression (play!) in the guide.
- The lowermost screws of the guide cannot be reached with the torque wrench.
For this reason those screws should not be opened.
- Finally check play of the guide by means of manually moving the table top.
